Under Nineteen: Where Are They Now?

Under Nineteen (언더나인틴) was a survival show aired on MBC on November 3, 2018 presented by Kim Sohyun. The show consisted of 57 contestants split into Rap, Vocal and Perfomance Team. The final lineup was announced on February 14, 2019 with 9 member`s group name is gonna be called 1THE9 and would promote for a year. The group disbanded on August 8, 2020 and now it has been 3 year`s since Under Nineteen ended. Where are all of the contestants right now?

Rank-1 (Debut) – Jeon Doyum
— He debuted in show’s final lineup, 1THE9.
— He returned to Kakao M after finishing his 1THE9 activities.
— Kakao M would later establish a brand new label, Bluedot Entertainment, where he was part of a pre-debut group Bluedot Boys (formerly PlayM Boys/FAVE Boys).
— He debuted in the boy group JUST B under the stage name DY on June 30, 2021 with title “Damage“.

Rank-2 (Debut)Jung Jinsung

— He debuted in show’s final lineup, 1THE9.
— After finishing 1THE9 activities on November 16, 2020, his contract with PlayM Entertainment expired so he left with Seungwan, and at the end of 2020, he deleted his Instagram.
— In February of 2021 he graduated and decided to give up on his idol career and is now living a private life as a student.

Rank-3 (Debut)Kim Taewoo
— He debuted in show’s final lineup, 1THE9.
— After ending 1THE9 activities he left A team, it`s unclear when.
— On December 24, 2021 he was revealed in a teaser video for a first boy group under Keystone Entertainment.
— He officially debuted in the boy group BLANK2Y under the stage name Louis on 24, May, 2022 with title “Thumps Up“.

Rank-4 (Debut)Shin Yechan

— He debuted in show’s final lineup, 1THE9.
— After finishing 1THE9 activities he left TOP Media, but there’s no information regarding the date he left.
— On March 17, 2021 he was featured in a mysterious teaser video for a first boy group OMEGA X under Spire Entertainment.
— He debuted in OMEGA X on June 30, 2021 with title track “VAMOS“.

Rank-5 (Debut)Jung Taekhyon

— He debuted in show’s final lineup, 1THE9.
— After finishing 1THE9 activities looks like he’s still under Management Air and he appeared in the drama “Racket Boys” in a recurring role and he’s active on his Instagram. So he probably gave up on his idol life but there’s still no information about that.

Rank-6 (Debut)Yoo Yoongha
— He debuted in show’s final lineup, 1THE9.
— After ending 1THE9 activities, he returned to his label with Kim Junseo and was part of pre-debut group OUI BOYZ.
— He debuted in OUI Entertainment boy group WEi on October 5, 2020 with the title track “Twilight“.

Rank-7 (Debut)Park Seunghwan

— He debuted in show’s final lineup, 1THE9.
—After finishing 1THE9 activities on November 16, 2020, his contract with PlayM Entertainment expired and he left with Jinsung.
— He was a contestant on the show ‘LOUD’ created by JYP and PSY, but was eliminated in the first round and he made his Instagram account private.
— He was spotted as backup dancer during ONEUS’ 2022 US Tour. It appears he signed under RBW Entertainment as a trainee.

Rank-8 (Debut)Park Sungwon

— He debuted in show’s final lineup, 1THE9
— After finishing 1THE9 activities he left A team, but is unsure when.
— On December 10, 2020 it was announced that Rain would debut a first boy group with Sungwon in it.
— He debuted in the boy group Ciipher under the stage name Won on March 15, 2021 under Rain Company with title track 안꿀려 (I like you).

Rank-9 (Debut)Kim Junseo
— He debuted in show’s final lineup, 1THE9
— After ending 1THE9 activities he returned to his label with Yoo Yongha and was part of pre-debut group OUI BOYZ.
— He also debuted in OUI Entertainment boy group WEi.

Rank-10 (Final Round)Kim Shihyun

— He debuted in boy group WE IN THE ZONE under Choon Entertainment on May 27, 2019 with title track  “Let`s Get Loud“.
— WE IN THE ZONE silently disbanded on January 15, 2021 after member Kyungheon shared the group had terminated their contracts.
— Shiyun said he gave up on his idol life and kept posting regularly on his Instagram.

Rank-11 (Final Round) Suren

— It appears he is still under Histar Media with Lee Dongjoon.
— He deleted his Instagram account.

Rank-12 (Final Round)Kim Youngwon

— He debuted as a soloist under Maxxam Entertainment on July 19, 2019 with the title “Tanghulu“.

Rank-13 (Final Round) – Lee Sangmin

— He returned to DSP Media and was part of it’s pre-debut group DSP N.
— He debuted in the boy group MIRAE with Park Siyoung under the stage name Khael on March 17, 2021 with title “KILLA”.

Rank-14 (Final Round)Song Byeonghee
— He was part of a PlayM Boys but was moved to Bluedot Entertainment where he also debuted in JUST B with Jeon Doyum under the stage name Bain.

Rank-15 (Final Round) – Lee Yechan

— He is still under KQ Entertainment as a trainee called KQ Fellaz. The trainees have stop posting and deleted their instagram.
— KQ Entertainment has revealed a concept photo of him on August 19, 2022 which he is part of their pre-debut trainee group KQ Fellaz 2.

Rank-16 (Final Round)Bae Hyeonjun

— It appears he is still under MAJOR9 as an actor and has acted in the drama “Fly Again” he is consistent on his Instagram.

Rank-17 (Final Round) – Lee Joungwoon

— Nothing has been verified but it appears he left Cube Entertainment since he was removed from company`s posts on CUBE TREE.
— Nothing has been heard from him.

Rank-18 (Final Round) – Park Siyoung

— He returned to DSP Media as part of “DSP N” and debuted with Lee Sangmin in the boy group MIRAE.

*Left the ShowRank-19 (Round 4)Wumuti
— He left the show before the final episode due to personal issues and posts regularly on social media.

Rank-20 (Round 4) – Jeon Chanbin

— He left DSP Media during pre-debut “DSP N”.
— He released a solo song ‘Jealousy’ on May 21, 2022.

Rank-21 (Round 4)Kim Sunghoo

— He is consistent on social media and releases songs on Sound Cloud under the name “ROSE (김성호)”.

Rank-22 (Round 4)Kang Junhyuck

— He left DSP Media during “DSP N” pre-debut it`s unknown when.
— He enlisted on January 3, 2022 but he`s active on his instagram posting covers.

Rank-23 (Round 4) – Yoon Taekyung/Yoon Doha

— He released a drama song on April 11, 2020, called “Fly Again”.
— He was a contestant on Channel A co-ed survival show Stars Awakening/Youth Star in Idol Category under changed name Yoon Doha where he and his team won 1st place in Idol Category allowing in debut lineup of boy group n.SSign under n.CH Entertainment.

— He retired from the show due to health reasons after Episode 12.
— He debuted as a soloist on June 3, 2019 with the single “Good Night”, under Black Y Music he is consistent on his Instagram.
— He was also a contestant on Burn Up 30.

*Left the show- Rank-25 (Round 4) Bang Junhgyuk

— He left the show due to health reasons after Episode 12.
– He was also a contestant on shows High School Rapper 4 and Show Me The Money 10.
— It was revealed that TOP MEDIA will debut a new boy group which will feature Junhyuk in the group.
— He debuted in TOP MEDIA’s new boy group MCND on February 27, 2020 under the stage name Win with the title “ICE AGE”.

Rank-26 (Round 3)Kim Jungwoo

— He was a member of pre-debut group’s after the show UTH under A Entertainment and YOURS (which is now called SUPERKIND) under Deepstudio Entertainment but those groups quietly disbanded pre-debut.
— He was introduced as part of first boy group under FirstOne Entertainment NINE.i on January 10, 2022.
— He debuted in a group NINE.i on March 30, 2022 under the stage name Vahn with the title “Parallel Universe“.

Rank-27 (Round 3) Park Jinoh

— He regularly posts on social media covers and releases some music under the name J1NO.

Rank-28 (Round 3) – Kim Youngseok

— He was a trainee under KQ Entertainment as part of KQ Fellaz but it seems he left it’s unknown when.
— He signed under Brand New Music as a trainee but later left the label.
— On May 20, 2021 he was revealed as a contestant for SBS’s audition show LOUD created by JYP and PSY but was eliminated during the first round.
— Nothing has been heard from him since then.

Rank-29 (Round 3) – Shin Chanbin

— He made his Instagram private, and as of now nothing is heard from him.

Rank-30 (Round 3) – Lim Younseo

— There’s no updates on him.

Rank-31 (Round 3) – Lee Dongjoon

— It appears he is still under Histar Media with Suren as of then nothing has been heard from him.

Rank-32 (Round 3)Song Jaewon
— He was a trainee under DSP Media and was training with MIRAE members it’s uncertain when he left pre-debut.
— He signed under Yuehua Entertainment and debuted in the boy group TEMPEST on March 2, 2022 under the stage name Hwarang with title “BAD NEWS“.

Rank-33 (Round 3) – Min

— Nothing has been heard from him.

Rank-34 (Round 3) – Oh Dahan

— He deleted his Instagram so it’s unclear what he’s been up to.

Rank-35 (Round 3)Lim Hyeongbin

— He returned to Kakao M but was later moved to Play M Entertainment (now IST Entertainment) where he was part of a pre-debut group STARHILL BOYS.
— He debuted in the boy band BANDAGE under PlayM Entertainment (now IST Entertainment) with title “Invisibles” on April 3, 2020.
— It was announced that he left the band on April 3, 2022 due to creative differences.
— He post’s regularly on social media.

Rank-36 (Round 3)Son Jinha

— He has been silent on social media since August 17, 2021.

Rank-37 (Round 3)Lee Jaeeok

— He was part of MBK BOYS but left MBK for unknown reasons and signed under ONE COOL JASCO Entertainment.
— He participated in MBC survival show Extreme Debut Wild Idolwhere he was eliminated in the finals.
— The company is preparing to debut their first boy group called OCJ Newbies as a pre-debut name however he is not shown in pictures of the lineup.

Rank-38 (Round 3) – Kim Kun

— He deleted his Instagram account, it’s unknown where he is.

Rank-39 (Round 3) – Christian

— He was posting on social media.
— On June 14, he made his first solo debut in South Korea under AMP Media , he released his first single “Stay“.
— He left AMP Media and signed under Filipino record label Corner Stone Entertainment.
— He debuted in the P-Pop Filipino boy group VXON with the title “The Beast” on January 7, 2022 under the stage name C13.

*Eliminated from the showRank-40 (Round 3) – Choi Soomin
— He was eliminated from the show on Episode 12 for breaking the rules (drinking and being active on social media during the competition).
— He is a soloist and goes by the name EDdMin.
— He has been silent on social media.

Rank-41 (Round 2) – Koo Hanseo

— Nothing has been heard from him.

Rank-42 (Round 2) – Kim Kangmin

— Nothing has been heard from him.

Rank-43 (Round 2)Kim Yejoon

— He posts regularly on social media and Youtube he’s posting covers on his channel called “Music Yejoon“.

Rank-44 (Round 2)Nam Dohyon

— He was a contestant on Produce X 101 where he ranked 8th allowing him to debut in the group X1.
X1 debuted with the title “FLASH” on August 27, 2019 under Swing Entertainment but disbanded on January 6, 2020 due to vote manipulation on Produce series.
— He debuted in a duo group with Hangyul called H&D on April 21, 2020 with title “SOUL” under MBK Entertainment.
— It was later announced he will be debuting in a brand new boy group called BAE173 under Pocketdol Studio (MBK sub-label).
— He officially debuted in BAE173 on November 19, 2020 with title “Crush On U“.

Rank-45 (Round 2)Eddie

— He consistently posts on social media and has been featured on videos with Edward Avilla.
— He debuted in a CO-ED group LALARY on August 29, 2019 with the title “LALARY“.
— They created a sub-unit group called BABYLALARY and debuted on June 28, 2021 with title “Fireball“.

Rank-46 (Round 2)Jang Rui

— He was added in the group Seven O’Clock under Forest Network on October 4, 2019. On November 12, 2019 he debuted in group’s third comeback “Midnight Sun”.
— The group officially disbanded on March 2, 2021.
— He was a participant on MBC survival show Extreme Debut Wild Idol but was eliminated in Episode 3.
— He regularly post’s on social media.

Rank-47 (Round 2) – Jeong Wonbeom

— It’s uncertain if he is still under Jellyfish Entertainment or not.

Rank-48 (Round 2) – Jung Hyunjun

— Jung Hyunjun/Trix and Lee Junhwan are currently making music together.
— He deleted his instagram so it`s unknown what he`s up to.

Rank-49 (Round 2)Kosuke

— Kosuke was a member of pre-debut groups HNB previously (which the group is now called D1CE) and after the show was part of pre-debut boy group UTH under A Entertainment but they silently disbanded.
— He stooped posting on instagram since November 2021 his current activities are unknown.

Rank-50 (Round 1) – Kim Bin

— Nothing has been heard from him.

Rank-51 (Round 1)Kim Junjae

— He was also a participant on Produce X 101 but was eliminated in episode 5 rank 94th.
— Nothing has been verified but it seems he left THINK ABOUT Entertainment and is currently a DJ and independent artist.
— He regularly posts on social media.

Rank-52 (Round 1) – Yoon Doyeon

— Nothing has been heard from him.

Rank-53 (Round 1) – Lee Minwoo

— He deleted his social media so it’s uncertain what’s he currently doing.

Rank-54 (Round 1) – Lee Junhwan

— Jung Hyunjun/Trix and Lee Junhwan are currently making music together.

Rank-55 (Round 1)Chang Minsu

— He still with his New Zealand-based Korean hiphop crew called INEFFA CREW.
— He posts regularly on social media.

Rank56 (Round 1)Jay Chang
— He is a soloist on November 23, 2020, he debuted with his digital single “Is You” with both Korean and English versions he also collaborated with FM Entertainment artists, including going on tour with trainee Beomhan, appearing in lives with M.O.N.T’s Roda, and is good friends with M.O.N.T in general.
— He posts regularly on social media.

Rank-57 (Round 1) Choi Younghun

— He debuted in a boy group WOW under A.CONIC on March 8, 2021 with title “Miss You”.
— He regularly post on social media.
