The show airs on SBS FiL and SBS MTV in Korea, and on TBS in Japan. The audition program is searching for members to create a new idol band that has both looks and musical talent. The Idol Band: Boy’s Battle is be a show that further globalizes K-pop and the K-band genre. The show began airing on December 3, 2022 in Japan (December 6, 2022 in South Korea) and ended on March 5, 2023. The winning team in the finale, HI-FI Un!corn, will officially debut under FNC Entertainment.
