PURE Members Profile and Facts
PURE (퓨어) was a South Korean boy group formed by Pure Entertainment (later IT Entertainment) in 2012. The group consisted of 5 members, White Suhyeok, Pink Chanhwee, Black Jimin, Blue Jungbin, and Yellow Younghu, who were selected through an audition that assessed their appearance, singing, and dancing, taking TVXQ as the standard. On December 1, 2012, the members participated in the charity project PURE Family (퓨어 패밀리) and released their first mini-album, Standing Together, to support families affected by the Japan tsunami. Shortly after, on December 12, they began their second pre-debut project, a TVXQ relay concert. Their CEO, a devoted TVXQ fan, set a goal for the group to perform 100 times at the Seoul Myeondong Pure K-Pop Live Concert Hall, covering TVXQ songs, in the hope of encouraging a reunion between TVXQ and JYJ. The group would make their debut after the relay concert project on April 4, 2013, with their single “I Still Love You”. On November 25, Suhyeok announced his departure due to conflicts with the company, and Chanhwee and Jungbin removed the group name from their socials. On November 30, Pure Entertainment confirmed that those three had left the group, and plans were announced to reorganize the lineup as PURE 2nd Generation. On January 18, 2014, Younghu also left. In February 2014, PUREBOY was formed with an entirely new lineup. In 2018, the group rebranded once more as NTB, marking the official disbandment of all PURE generations.
