BARA (바라/ バラ) was a South Korean boy group under BARA Entertainment, consisting of 3 members: Sooheok, Chanhwi, and Youngho. In February 2014, at Sooheok’s suggestion, the group was formed out of former PURE members. They began Japanese promotions on May 4, 2014, and debuted the same day with the EP BARA 1st Mini Album, which was only released in physical format. Their final performance took place on August 23, 2015, and on September 8 it was announced that Sooheok and Chanhwi would continue as members of B.Crown while Youngho would enlist, marking the group’s disbandment.
Group Name Meaning: Japanese for “rose” (薔薇). The name, given by their Japanese teacher, symbolizes their passion.
