Terminology Guide:
Comeback – A music drop with lots of promotions and typically an MV, comeback stages etc.
Release – A music drop (typically a single) with a few promotions (usually a collaboration)
Anniversary Comeback/Release – A music by a group celebrating their anniversary
Label Release – A music drop by a range of artists from a particular label (e.g. SMTOWN)
Pre-Release – A single released before a comeback to garner attention (included in the comeback)
Debut – An artist’s first big release, typically with an MV and lots of promotions
Re-Debut – Same as a debut, but typically under a different company / after reformation
OT# Comeback/Debut (etc.) – A music drop from a group promoting the active members
Sub-unit Comeback/Debut (etc.) – A music drop from a group promoting a certain amount of members
Solo Debut/Comeback – A member of a group who releases music as a solo artist
MV Release – When an MV is released, typically after the song has been released
Final Release – A release by the group that is usually celebrates them, and is their disbandment song
Final [COMPANY] Release – A release by the group that marks their last release under a certain company
+Western Album Comeback – An album drop from a western artist/artist promoting in the west.
Usually preceded by numerous singles and do not have a set title track (listed by album name).
+Best Album Comeback – An album release by an artist that features a collection of
previously released songs, that are usually their most successful
Japanese (…) etc. – Any of the above types of a release (when listed) but promoted in Japan in Japanese
