KLP48 (short for Kuala Lumpur) is the 10th international and first Malaysian sister group of AKB48. The group was announced on January 1, 2024 and will debut in August 2024. In April 2024, it was revealed four members from other AKB48 groups will transfer to KLP48 on June 1, 2024. The rest of the members have yet to be revealed.
