JKT48 is an idol group from Indonesia . Formed in 2011, JKT48 is the first AKB48 sister group outside of Japan .The group adopted the AKB48 concept of “idols you can meet every day“. They debuted with the song “Heavy Rotation” On January 11, 2021, it was announced that the group would forcibly mass-graduate 26 of its members as it was hit by crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and government-imposed large-scale social restrictions. All three teams were disbanded and the Academy was temporarily suspended as a result. The group currently consists of 39 members.
