BLACK BABYMETAL was a sub-unit of BABYMETAL consisting of MOAMETAL and YUIMETAL. They made their debut on October 6, 2012 during LEGEND “I” at Shibuya O-EAST. Their last performance was during LEGEND “S” in 2017, where MOAMETAL performed “GJ!” and “Song 4” alone at the first shows where YUIMETAL was missing.
They are most likely named the stories playbacked before the song Onedari Daisakusen. In the stories, the girls are trapped and changed into wicked characters singing rap music. During performances of Onedari Daisakusen, they would put on hoodies with a skeleton print to highlight the change from BABYMETAL to BLACK BABYMETAL.
