LOONA yyxy (이달의 소녀 와이와이바이와이), is a four-member sub-unit of South Korean girl group LOONA. The unit consists of members Yves, Chuu, Go Won, and HyeJu. They debuted on May 30, 2018 with their first mini album, beauty&thebeat. Since LOONA’s debut, the unit has been inactive.
LOONA yyxy Name Meaning: ‘yyxy’ is short for “youth youth by young”. The name references their lore, as it is the name of their neanthropic chromosome. The letters represent the members in order. The Hangul also is derived from the Sino-Korean root which means ‘Girl of the Month’, LOONA’s Korean name.
