NU’EST (뉴이스트) consisted of 5 members: JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun, and Ren. The band debuted on March 15, 2012, under Pledis Entertainment. While Minhyun promoted as a member of WANNA ONE, the rest of the members promoted as a sub-unit called NU’EST W. (W comes from “Waiting”)
As of May 25, 2020 Big Hit Ent. became Pledis’ major shareholder, but Pledis will continue to act as an independent label.
Pledis announced that NU’EST will cap off their official activities on March 14, 2022 and they disbanded.
