ikling (아이클링) is an independent project girl group that is made up of non-trainees for them to try being idols. The group consists of 5Joo, Da.U, Ever, and Sirin. The name combines ‘Idol’ and ‘Sparkling’. The group was formed by composer Son Dayeon, which she funded through a crowdfund on Tumblbug. They debuted on April 28, 2023 with the single “Stargram”.

– She also thought about reversing her name and being known as ‘Young Won’, but didn’t choose that because it means ‘0 Won (Korean currency)’ in Korean.
– In the end, she decided to translate her reversed name to English (Young Won means forever in Korean) and shorten it to Ever.
