He became the founder of MF Family, also known as Majah Flavah Family, which was a group of different musicians and entertainers before later becoming known as YG Family. In the early days of YG, he was in charge of producing many songs for artists, and featuring in them such as for Jinusean, 1TYM, then later onto Lexy, Taebin, Gummy, and SE7EN. In 2001, he released his first solo album By Storm, which featured other YG artists such as Masta Wu, Jinusean, Lexy, Swi-T, and G-Dragon. Years following the release, he spent the remaining decade producing songs for artists, along with features, before his activities abruptly stopped by 2009. Since 2010, he has been reported by friends and family members.
