Lorelei (로렐라이) was a four-member South Korean rock band under GUN Music Entertainment. The band was formed in December 2001. The lineup consists of comprised of graduates from practical music programs and award winners from rock festivals: Jung Kyunghee, Kim Yeonjoo, Bae Sooyoung, and Jung Hyejin. The group debuted on May 2, 2003, with the album Happy Birth. They disbanded later that year.
Group Name Meaning: The band’s name, Lorelei, comes from the myth of a siren who sat on a rock, luring sailors to their deaths with her enchanting songs. The band chose this name to signify their ambition to create genuine music that can move people’s hearts.
