AKB48 Members Profile
AKB48 (short for Akihabara48) is a 30-member Japanese idol group under DH. Based in Akihabara, Tokyo, the group is centered on the concept “idols you can meet” and places emphasis on interaction between fan and idol with almost-daily concerts, regular handshake events, and more. They are one of the best-selling musical acts in Japan and one of the best-selling girl groups worldwide. They made their stage debut as a 24-member group on December 8, 2005.
