Synopsis:
Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) was once an unbeatable Goryeo military general who died a tragic death. He now possesses immortatlity as a Goblin, but is tired of living while everyone around him dies. For the last 900 years, Shin has been searching for his bride, hoping for her to able to pull out the sword that has impaled him so that his life will end. One day, he meets Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) an upbeat high school student who can see and talk to the dead and has gone through many tragic events, yet still keeping a positive attitude. She claims to be Shin’s bride he is looking for to end his immortal life, but what is at first becomes an easy and simple task, becomes difficult as they fall in love in the process. A member of the Yoo family, Yoo Deok Hwa (Yook Sung Jae) is the last descedant of the boy who promised to serve Shin when he (Shin) became an immortal being and is the next to serve him after his grandfather while also being tasked with becoming the next CEO of his grandfather’s company. Shin plays it off like he is Deok Hwa’s uncle to keep his Goblin identity a secret. Meanwhile, Shin’s immortal frenemy, Wang Yeo (Lee Dongwook) who is a Grim Reaper, falls in love with a woman named Sunny Kim (Yoo Inna) who also happens to be Eun Tak’s boss.
