Tomohisa Yamashita (山下智久), also known as Yamapi (山P), is a Japanese singer, actor, and model currently active as an independent artist under his self-founded company, High Hope Entertainment. He first rose to fame in the early 2000s as a member of the boy group NEWS under Johnny & Associates (now known as Starto Entertainment). After leaving Johnny’s in 2020 to pursue international opportunities, he signed with WME for global representation and returned to music with his independently released album “Sweet Vision” on July 19, 2023.
