Band Name Meaning: The band’s name was inspired by the American indie rock group Yeah Yeah Yeah, a favorite of theirs from the 2000s. Wanting a name just as catchy, they first thought of ‘Sep!’, which eventually evolved into ‘Yep!’, meaning ‘yes’. They added ‘May’ to the second syllable — representing both the month they started the project and the name of someone significant to them — and repeated ‘Yep’ at the end.
