– He was born in Beijing, China.
– Despite his parents financial struggle, both worked two jobs to support his music career.
– In 1993, he won the first place in the Chongwen District singing competition and also Beijing Middle School and Primary School Students Singing Competition.
– In his Fourth Grade, He and his fellow singers in the Children’ Cultural Palace attended the Children’s Choir competition in Russia and won the Second Place.
– He is the former of the group The Flower. The group was debuted in 1998 but disbanded in 2009.
– He was the writer, lead vocals and guitar when he was in the band (The Flowers).
– In February 1998, Zhang Wei and his friends performed in a pub, they got to know artist agent Hong Feng. That is the time when the Flowers officially debuted.
– He is married.
– In 2002, he with the members of The Flowers won the Media Award in the 2nd Chinese Pop Music.
– He debuted solo after The Flower disbanded.
– In September 2009, he made debut as an actor as Dong Feng in Royal Tattoo Movie.
