Swing (스윙) was a three-member South Korean girl group. The lineup consisted of Jun Wunjeong, Han Hyelim, and Kwon Minhee. The members were selected through online auditions out of a 1000 people. Afterwards, they trained for 3 years. The group debuted on November 7, 2005, with their self-titled album Swing.
Group Name Meaning: “Our genre is trance music, which is fast-paced and exciting. We chose Swing because when you listen to trance music, you unconsciously start to swing your body. Also, in a card game called Hi-Lo, swing means to ‘monopolize the pot,’ so we picked our team name with the goal of dominating the music industry.”
