East² (イ一ストイ一スト) was a Japanese girl group created for the anime/drama GaruGaku. The line-up consists of Yuzuha Oda, Ran Ishii and Toa Harada. Their name was used due to the members being from the east of Japan. Yuzuha is from Tokyo, Ran is from Saitama and Toa is from Kanagawa.
The unit originally was a duo, however in Episode 12/13 of the anime, Toa joins the group as the other members are inspired by her hard work.
