– His name was chosen by his father. Initially, his grandfather wanted to name him “Bai Yanlong” because the character “Yan” is fixed for his generation. His brother’s name is Bai Yansong. However, his father, with a more literary inclination, chose “Jingting,” inspired by Li Bai’s poem: “The only mountain I never get tired of looking at is Jingting Mountain.”
