Mixed Predictions #4
This is a set of miscellaneous predictions about K-Pop, K-Dramas, Korean shows and possibly more as of March 4, 2024.
1. HYBE Labels (through its companies) will debut 4 or 5 groups by 2024.
2. QWER might have two releases in 2024. At least one of them might top charts.
3. At least three Music Bank events in Europe and Latin America in 2024.
4. New, stricter rules involving fancalls might be implemented. Whoever fails to do so might face repercussions, from being banned from fan events to being legally prosecuted.
5. A nugu soloist might join a different company where they’d get more exposure and recognition.
6. If NOWADAYS weren’t to meet immediate success since debut, CUBE Entertainment might have to brace themselves from even more struggles, especially in terms of reputation.
7. A subsidiary might detach from its parent company.
8. An actor or actress might have a fanmeeting tour where they’d welcome fans with a huge surprise.
9. The resurgence of a first generation group might lead to them considering forming a new one under their management.
10. A former sasaeng might repent and decide to collaborate with authorities to expose some former colleagues of theirs. This might help sorting issues within some groups’ fandoms.
11. Another successful American TV series might have a Korean adaptation. However, it might face skepticism from some netizens.
12. Korean politicians may no longer be able to use BTS for political games should specific laws covering this matter pass. To bypass the laws, someone might switch the focus on other artists.
13. An idol who was previously in a group under a struggling company might redebut in a new, more successful one.
14. Apple Monster might ensure that EL7Z UP‘s contract lasts as much as possible by letting comebacks and other activities be spread through a large span of time. This might not sit well with fans of the girls and/or their respective groups.
15. A group that has been stuck in the limbo for a few years might definitely disband. One or two members might redebut individually.
16. A company might be exposed for financial malpractice.
17. The members of a 5th generation group might already open their personal social media accounts.
18. Military season for NCT might start as soon as promotions for NCT 127‘s comeback are over. At least three or four members might enlist simultaneously. After that, the unit might prioritize individual activities.
19. The final group formed through I-LAND 2 might meet top girl groups’ success from the beginning.
20. A former pre-debut member of an upcoming group might debut as a soloist instead.
