-He was born in Seoul, but moved to Miami, Florida when he was 12 and then to Los Angeles as a teenager.
-He attended UCLA and has a degree in English.
-His father was a DJ and one of the first Korean pop columnists.
-He established Jungle Entertainment and Feel Ghood Music.
-He married fellow rapper Yoon Mirae in June 2007. They have a son named Jordan.
-He was a founding member of hip-hop group Drunken Tiger and sometimes releases solo music under that name.
-He and Yoon Mirae are also members of the trio MFBTY.
-As a teenager he did Taekwondo.
-He is credited with helping bring hip-hop music into the Korean mainstream.
-He wanted to use hip-hop to create a dialogue between African-American and Korean-American communities in the US.
-In 2000, he was arrested on a false methamphetamine charge, but it was disproved in 2001.
-He credits Bob Marley as one of his influences.
-He was diagnosed with acute transverse myelitis, a spinal chord condition, in 2004, and continues to take medication for it.
-In 2006, he launched a clothing line called Lungta.
-He is a deist.
-In 2011, he released limited edition headphones under the Beats line produced by Dr Dre. All the proceeds went to a child welfare organization.
