WEST, formerly known as Johnny’s WEST (ジャニーズWEST), is a 7-member Japanese idol boy group under STARTO ENTERTAINMENT. They used to be under Johnny’s Entertainment (2014-2024). The group consists of Daiki Shigeoka, Akito Kiriyama, Junta Nakama, Tomohiro Kamiyama, Ryusei Fujii, Takahiro Hamada, and Nozomu Kotaki. They debuted on April 23, 2014 with their first single ‘Eejanaika’.
Group Name Meaning: As the group’s name suggests, all the WEST. members come from the Kansai Region, Western Japan (more precisely from Hyōgo Prefecture and Osaka Prefecture).
