ACE OF SPADES Profile & Facts

ACE OF SPADES (エース・オブ・スペーズ) is a Japanese rock band formed through a collaboration between EXILE producer HIRO and GLAY members HISASHI and TAKURO. Although initially conceptualized in 2005 following the joint single “SCREAM” by EXILE and GLAY, the band officially debuted in 2012 under the management of LDH and the Rhythm Zone label. The lineup consists of vocalist TAKAHIRO (EXILE), guitarist HISASHI (GLAY), bassist TOKI (formerly of RIZE), and drummer MOTOKATSU MIYAGAMI (formerly of The Mad Capsule Markets). Their debut single, “WILD TRIBE”, was released on August 22, 2012. The band’s name and visual identity draw inspiration from Motörhead’s iconic track “Ace of Spades”, symbolizing a trump card, and incorporate a playing card motif featuring the ace of spades, king of clubs, queen of hearts, and joker—an element partially influenced by X JAPAN’s use of the “Joker” symbol.
