Aoyama Riku (青山陸), professionally known as RIKU, is a Japanese singer, performer, and actor, and a vocalist of THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE. He first gained recognition in 2014 as one of three winners of EXILE Presents VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 4, which paved the way for his debut. On November 21, 2025, he launched his solo career with the release of his first digital single, “This is me ~Yakusoku no Shi~.”

– He is from Asaka, Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
– He is an only child.
– As a child, he dreamed of becoming a professional soccer player and joined his first team at eight years old.
– His passion for singing began in junior high after attending an EXILE concert with his mother, where seeing a person moved to tears by ATSUSHI’s singing made him realize the emotional impact of music.
– Encouraged by friends who praised his karaoke performances, he began studying vocal techniques online.
– In his first year of high school, he told his family he wanted to pursue music, though they initially hoped he would follow a more traditional path.
– A knee injury in high school forced him to step away from soccer, and he began focusing more seriously on pursuing music.
– That same year, he auditioned for EXILE Presents VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 2, where he advanced to the second screening.
– At seventeen, he passed an audition to join EXPG Tokyo as a scholarship student, marking the start of his formal vocal training.
– In 2013, he was introduced as part of EXILE GENERATIONS, a trainee project under LDH.
– In 2014, he participated in EXILE Presents VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 4 ~Yume wo Motta Wakamono-tachi e~, becoming one of three winners out of thousands of contestants.
