Whats the differences? I've never heard of GNC.Yes! But I just wanna remind everyone that there is a difference between being non-binary and being GNC (gender non-conforming)

I think gender non-conforming is when u still wanna be ur gender but u don't dress (act?) like ur gender sterotypeWhats the differences? I've never heard of GNC.
Ohhh!! If its that, that totally makes sense.I think gender non-conforming is when u still wanna be ur gender but u don't dress (act?) like ur gender sterotype
There is this boy who likes to wear make up and wear dresses but h still wants to be a boy

the queer community is actually v transphobic, i've discovered. comments like those make me so mad, bc like you said, there's a reason some ppl don't or can't come out, and some ppl don't even know if they're queer, and nobody should try and force them into thinking abt it when they're clearly not readyUgh sorry this just reminded me of something I saw on tiktok that really pissed me off. There was a guy who had a girlfriend who I believe was studying makeup or fashion or something along those lines, and she was using her boyfriend as a model. He looked so good as a woman and he was enjoying the “dress up”, but whenever people would ask if he was trans he would reply that he was a cisgender male. I searched to see if I could find out if it was sarcasm but I couldn’t. As far as I could tell he was a cisgender male. But all of his comments were saying “he’ll come out eventually” “he’ll figure it out eventually” “we’ll be waiting” stuff like that. And all I can really say it’s shit like this is what brings the movement down.
We as a community won’t be accepted until we cut out the bullshit like this. We’re suppose to be respectful of identities. And that means all identities. We’re suppose to be destroying norms not enforcing them…
For me… it’s just upsetting to see our community being used as a trend or a club. If that guy was in fact a trans woman, if he hadn’t come out there was clearly a reason. I swear most of what I deem as homophobia I see coming from our own community…
You're the first person who I see talking about this topic and thank you. I had a similar experience when I saw a thread on twitter in which a user "proved" that Gravity Falls' Diper is trans. The clips used as "evidence" were nothing more than situations that many boys can find relatable, such as not fitting in into the "alpha male" standards. The message that the thread gives is kinda dangerous IMO because the "alpha male" is a concept that has affected women in negative ways and saying that if a boy doesn't have toxic masculinity he's is trans is just disgusting.Ugh sorry this just reminded me of something I saw on tiktok that really pissed me off. It just feels like it’s making a mockery of the LGBTQ+ community, in particular the trans movement in this case. There’s so much more to being trans than just wearing non-typical outfits for your assigned gender. You can be a cis man and wear makeup and put on dresses. You can be a cis girl and have short hair and have never worn a dress in your life. We always scream about how gender is a social construct and this is an example of that. But just because you don’t conform to what’s expected of you it doesn’t mean your identity is something completely different. You're the first person who I see talking about this topic and thank you. ik the thread you guys are talking abt, and as a trans person, i didn't find anything wrong w it. he's a fictional character (whose creator has said that ppl making headcanons abt his characters' sexualities/genders is fine and he enjoys seeing what ppl think) and the person who posted the thread was a trans person who saw a lot of themselves in dipper and so made the thread to share their headcanon. It just feels like it’s making a mockery of the LGBTQ+ community, in particular the trans movement in this case. And again god forbid that guy was actually trans but in the closet. His comments would be filled with all these people trying to force him out. And you bet these are the same people who would cry about why outing is so bad if someone else had outed him
Ah idk anything about the character I was mostly just commenting on the tiktok (who was a real person not a character). Apologies if I said anything wrongik the thread you guys are talking abt, and as a trans person, i didn't find anything wrong w it. he's a fictional character (whose creator has said that ppl making headcanons abt his characters' sexualities/genders is fine and he enjoys seeing what ppl think) and the person who posted the thread was a trans person who saw a lot of themselves in dipper and so made the thread to share their headcanon.
