Hyunjoo: Ohh okay. I like to wake up early, and so I sneak out of my room, because Emma sleeps later than me. Right now, I eat some yoghurt every morning with some fruit, and take some vitamins. Then, I like to go back to my room and watch videos in bed until Emma wakes up. Yes!

Hyunjoo: Aha… this is where she starts asking me more intense questions, I see. I think Juni is very well behaved. She also likes to cook dinner for us, so that’s a bonus *chuckles*. She always does what I tell her to… some of my other members like to mess around and managing them can be trouble *laughs*

Hyunjoo: What is this question? Starting drama I see… Sophia… is loud. She will yell at you from another room instead of asking you face to face if she wants something. Juni… Juni always nags me for liking pineapple on pizza. If we order pizza, she will change my order to get rid of pineapple! She’s so sweet but then she does this to me… it breaks my heart. Emma… Emma can be a bit sloppy. I’m always telling her to clean up after herself, she leaves our room so messy sometimes! And Yejoon… she stays up so late at night, and won’t tell me what she does. She says it’s nothing! But why would she be up so late doing nothing!

Yejoon: Hm… I think… the day we got our name as CALLA. When Emma joined the group, we were still team ROSA. The name was pretty, but it excluded her, and that was sad. So when the director called us in, and he said we were finally getting a new name, and that name was CALLA, it was such a happy day. Though, I also love the day when we found out the final results of what fandom name we would have. I think Lily chose a beautiful name for themselves. They made a good choice.

Variety Show Leaves Fans With Uneasy Feelings Due to Treatment of Idol
A recent episode of *variety show name* has left fans feeling uncomfortable due to the treatment of a member of a girl group.
Girl group CALLA featured on the most recent episode while promoting their ‘I Love Me’ comeback. The episode was going fine, until one of the hosts mentioned doing an ASMR segment.
Instantly, the atmosphere of the group changed, with member Juni politely telling the hosts they’d rather not do it. Lilies who know more about the group are likely aware that member Emma has misophonia, after it was mentioned in one of her vlives after a fan suggested she do ASMR
“If CALLA do ASMR, I’d rather not be part of it. Mouth noises freak me out, badly. I can’t describe it but it’s not nice… yeah misophonia. So you’ve heard of it?”
However, the hosts of the variety show didn’t take the polite protests of the members seriously, pulling out microphones and food ready to do a mukbang.
At this point, Emma verbally said she wasn’t okay with what was happening, yet one of the hosts began to do the skit, causing her to cover her ears and hide behind member Sophia without saying anything else.
The skit continued a little longer, with the hosts laughing at Emma’s reaction, while the other members continued to ask them to stop. After about a minute, they gave up and moved on.
Netizens had mixed reactions to what was aired.
“I don’t think the hosts had malicious intent with the skit, a lot of idols do ASMR”

BEHIND THE CALLA
Welcome to the fourth instalment of Behind the CALLA. In this behind the CALLA we have a lot to discuss. So, please enjoy this Behind the CALLA!
LILY
Before we get to I Love Me, we must discuss Lily. Though, there isn’t much to say.
So, fun fact, if you’ll recall to early in CALLA’s career, there were two fandom names given for people to vote on. Lily and Callaful. Now, I actually hoped that CALLA’s fans would be called Callaful, as the song I originally wanted to be the fan song was ‘Color Me’ by Weki Meki. So when Lily won I was initially quite annoyed as I had no idea what I’d use as a fan song. And if you Google “Lily Kpop” all that comes up is the lovely NMIXX member.
So, one day, I randomly remembered an AOA song I hadn’t listened to in ages. And that song was Lily.
For the concept photos, I wanted to use actual photos of each CALLA member’s face claim, as it felt more authentic and direct for the fans. Furthermore, since it wasn’t actually a comeback, there were no promotions, nor much build up to the comeback.
Originally, Yejoon had the most lines in Lily, with over a minute, a massive difference to the other members. I was able to fix this though, with her now falling in second, slightly behind Hyunjoo.
I Love Me
I Love Me is the third release of CALLA, and their second mini album with 6 main songs and 1 special release.
If you remember the Behind the CALLA for Pink.Aura, I said I have a formula for the perfect debut period. The first song should represent the colours of the group, the second should expand on the concept debuted with… so what’s the third? Have you figured it out?
The third song should be similar to the first two, but slightly different. Or, in the words of My Teenage Girl… SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT.
The best example of a group that’s done this that I can give is IVE. Eleven and Love Dive have similar elegant concepts while After Like also has an elegant concept, but with a disco spin. For CALLA, Love Dive and Eung Eung also have similar elegant concepts, whereas No has a more girl crush concept, though still mixed with elegance.
No is a bit of a special song to me. CLC was my ult group at a point and No was my favourite song of theirs. So of course, I just had to give it to CALLA too.
As for the rest of I Love Me, some of their bsides are quite different to what I’d usually give them. You.zip is the intro song, and nothing that much different from CALLA’s previous songs. My Way also isn’t that much different from some of the songs from Shoot Your Shot. Checkmate and Love Is Dead however are a lot more girl crush than what CALLA would do previously. Done is a bit more similar to more classic CALLA songs. I wanted to experiment with CALLA's sound a bit more, and expand it, add a few more colours to their palette and show a variety of things CALLA could do instead of just plain elegant. I hope my song selection did the trick!
The line distributions for these songs were initially very different to how they look now. The songs were mostly all initially in favour of Yejoon and Sophia, with Emma having a fair amount of lines too, while Hyunjoo and Juni were quite neglected, in particular Juni.
However, one person inspired me to create the distribution videos for CALLA, and that was @LostInTheDream . She was the only person who participated in the pre-comeback guessing (meaning I won’t be doing it again). Her prize was two distributions, and after making them I felt guilty for only giving two pictures. So, I did some experimenting and voila, I was able to create them. So as I was remaking all the I Love Me distributions, I tried to tidy the distributions as well. I think I initially got too caught up in the fact Juni was a rapper, and so I tried to give her more deeper vocal parts similar to how Sophia would sing. I also switched about some of the parts sung by Emma, Yejoon and Hyunjoo and now I think the distributions are a lot better.
My goal for this album was for it to be Sophia’s era. She has a beautiful deep voice and so I thought all the girl crush songs would be perfect for her. I think, however, this era could also be a bit of an Emma and Juni era too. To me, the members who “own” each song are:
You.zip - Emma, No - Sophia, My Way - Sophia, Checkmate - Juni, Love Is Dead - Juni and Done - Yejoon.
CALLA got their first win for this comeback! Everyone say well done. As I mentioned previously, I never wanted CALLA to debut famous, but instead build up momentum over time. CALLA still haven’t reached peak popularity yet, but the members have slowly been going viral online and now their song, No, has been noticed well enough to get them a win. One thing I really like about CALLA receiving their first win with No is it was also the song CLC got their first win with. Though it doesn’t feel like long since CALLA debuted, in this timeline it would’ve been quite a bit of time, so I think now is appropriate. I'm excited to take you all through CALLA's journey as they gain more popularity.
What Do Lily Think?
I ran a poll to get feedback on CALLA, and I got a whole 7 responses. Wowowow thank you everyone. No but seriously thank you, as I really wasn't expecting this many people to vote. Thought I'd get like 3 max and have to work from only that.
Here are the results of some of the questions!
The most popular title track is… Love Dive with 71.4% of the votes.
However, there are two most popular albums. Both Shoot Your Shot and I Love Me have the same amount of votes, with 42.9% each.
The bsides were multi choice, so there’s no percentages, however we do have a top 3. Shoot! is in first, with 6 votes (meaning only one person didn’t vote for it). Clearly I made a good choice there. In second we have Love Is Dead, with 4 total votes, which surprises me due to a result that will come later. And finally, in 3rd we have Espresso. Two bsides didn’t get any votes, and those were You.zip and My Way. This does make me a little sad as I love these two songs a lot, but alas, that’s just how it is.
The most biased CALLA member is Hyunjoo, with Emma being most people’s bias wrecker. Though we also have plenty of OT5 stans, so don’t worry, all of our girls get plenty of love.
As for the duos, two got the same number of votes, and those would be… Sophia and Emma… and Juni and Emma. Seems everyone wants to see an Emma unit. Perhaps I’ll have to deliver your wishes some time…
The remaining questions were mostly about how I’m running CALLA. But I thought one question in particular would be interesting to everyone, and that’s what concepts should CALLA do.
My vision for CALLA was to be a more mature yet elegant girl group, hence why the idols I chose were older and my current song choices. However, the most popular concept people want to see from CALLA is… cute elegant. Sighs. YOU GUYS?! You were suppose to see my vision. Smh! Oh well… if that’s what you want to see I suppose I shall make sure I deliver.
Ballad wasn’t very popular, but I suppose ballad songs never are. I will be dropping a few here and there but don’t panic, it won't be too much. Elegant and mature elegant were voted for plenty. Girl Crush however received no votes at all… understood. Though what I don’t understand is how the second most popular bside was a girl crush one??? You guys?! Was this some sort of “this was good but never do it again”. But to be fair, perhaps girl crush is a little un-CALLA. I doubt I’ll do much girl crush in the future, but I might have to do a little… tiny bit…
What’s Next?
Well. That concludes the Behind the CALLA for I Love Me era. I won’t give too much away for what’s coming, but I won’t leave you in the dark either.
What I will say right now is a warning:
The next CALLA release will likely be the last until the Summer of 2023.
As some of you might be aware, I live in the UK and also recently turned 18. Unfortunately for me, this means I will have eXams this Spring. Mocks begin around March-April and the exams take place between May-June. During this time I will need to focus on revision… or at least have minimal distraction of other commitments. If I did promote CALLA during this time, it won’t be a full group, as making all the content for it is time consuming and I can’t have something else looming over me during this time. But I will tell you, CALLA will go on their hiatus after a bang. Be sure to keep your eyes out for it.
The next comeback may arrive sooner than I want? I don’t really know. The feedback form said the current timeline is fine, so perhaps I’m overthinking. I’ll try to release it at an appropriate time. But it’ll depend on how college is going.
The only other thing I will say is that, I’ve actually told you guys before what is coming next. The question is… when did I tell you… and what did I tell you…

BEHIND THE CALLA: Extras
The last behind the CALLA I posted didn’t contain everything I wanted to include. This is simply because I completely forgot these last two sections. These aren’t necessarily exactly tied to the process of making CALLA, but provide a little more context to the group. I want to thank @LostInTheDream as always to providing me brain cells where I lack them. One section was indirectly inspired by her and the other was completely inspired by her. So yes, all credits there.
SONGS WITH CALLA POTENTIAL THAT AREN’T GOING TO BE USEDThe last behind the CALLA I posted didn’t contain everything I wanted to include. This section is about songs I’ve considered giving to CALLA, but as things currently stand will not be given as group songs. Just because a song is on the list doesn’t mean it will never ever appear, but as things currently stand, these songs are not intended as group comebacks. This was the indirectly inspired section, after a comment was made about “I could imagine CALLA singing a song” and me being like, yes, I imagine these things too.

The reason for this is quite simple, and it’s just because I don’t really want to use multiple title tracks from the same group for CALLA, and instead want some variety. I already used Eung Eung for CALLA, and so I’ve more or less shelved their other songs. The only way I would use them is if CALLA goes on way into the future and I start running out of ideas
Secret, Dreams Come True and Save Me, Save You - WJSN
This is the same reason for the Apink songs. And I know, you’re probably thinking “a WJSN song hasn’t been the title track yet”. And all I can answer to that is… yet. These three songs would really suit CALLA, but the WJSN song I’ve chosen fits my image for them better
LALALILALA - APRIL
There’s two reasons for LALALILALA, the first being I think this song is slightly too cute for CALLA’s image, and generally more intense. I really love this song and really want to use it… I might have something planned for it so I don’t think it’ll be completely absent. But as things currently stand the most I will say is I don’t see it being a CALLA song. The second is the same as the Apink and WJSN reason. Especially the WJSN reason… one person who submitted an answer to the CALLA form might have figured out what’s in store. Yes, I’m taking your song suggestion. Keep it to yourself!!
Poppin’ Star - TXT
This song was actually originally on the tracklist for the next album. But I ended up taking it off as just as things currently stand I feel it sort of weird having a boy group song for a girl group. The vibes of the song are perfect for CALLA but I feel like the illusion of the CALLA members singing shatter once men are the ones singing

THE CALLA LILY WEEKLY ROUNDUP - 5th December to 11th December
Welcome to the first installment of the CALLA LILY weekly roundup!
Some of you know I suggested this, but for others this will be a surprise! So, before I begin, let me explain the context.
As you know, sometimes I post 'news articles' surrounding the CALLA members, two recently being about Emma for example. These are usually to do with events that effect CALLA in a major way in this fake group universe, or are just stuff I think are impactful during their promotions. However, I do not make articles to do with everything I imagine impacting CALLA.
There are some parts of Kpop culture I do not capture through CALLA very much, the two most noticeable being Twitter drama, and Vlives. I do like imagining LILY twt as being a little bit chaotic, because are you truly a kpop fandom if you're not fighting for your life to defend your faves? As for vlives, they're really important for getting to know your idols, yet they take a lot of work to write, and so they felt something I am unable to do frequently.
This is where the weekly roundup comes in!
Any small CALLA related event, either involving the CALLA members or whatever LILY have been up to will be reported on a weekly* basis! Some weeks might be longer than others, especially during promotion periods. But I hope to share at least one piece of news with you each Sunday. And that being said, what have CALLA LILY been getting up to this week?
Each members' bias fandoms decided to create fandom names for themselves. Hyunjoo stans decided to call themselves Hyunpple, coming from pineapple, due to the fact Hyunjoo likes pineapple on pizza. Sophia stans have named themselves Sopha, which was as a joke since it sounded like "sofa", but now they're telling other lilies it just means they want to be something comfortable and safe for Sophia. Juni's stans are Juli, due to the fact Juni means June in German, and Juli means July, meaning Juli will always follow Juni. Emma's stans are Emmarine, in reference to the gemstone aquamarine, due to the fact Emma's representative colour is aqua blue. Yejoon's stans originally had the name Yeye, however they all agreed this name was lame compared to the other solo fandoms. They then agreed they would change their name to Youra. Y is the first letter of Yejoon's name, ra comes from CALLA's song 'AURA', which Yejoon says she likes, and the au got changed to ou, because it can now be read as "your aura" or "yejoon's aura". Other lily got jealous because Youra went from having the worst name to arguably the best.
An Emmarine made a meme video which highlighted moments where Emma's misophonia had been affecting her in group videos. Any moments where Emma cringed, covered her ears or yelled got effects added to it, in order to make a lighthearted video. Lily then circulated this video, to spread awareness to how misophonia can effect someone, as a response to her being exploited on a variety show. Some other fandoms have begun showing support for Emma in response. Some were worried that the video was mocking Emma, but Lilies have reassured they wanted to make a video that would spread awareness while making people smile instead of feel upset, and that they hope Emma would see it that way too.
Member Yejoon has been going viral on Twitter after her appearance on Yujin and Bada's Unniez show. After she mentioned her company had wanted her to debut solo after her performance, other fandoms decided to check out why, and were blown away by her vocal talent
Sophia did a vlive where she acknowledged the weird fandom name of Sopha. She asked them if it was because they wanted her to sit on them. This is why Sophas are now adamantly telling people their name has a wholesome meaning
Julis have been showing love for Bada of ENCHANTRESS, after it was revealed she watches Juni fancams

LOVE DIVE DISTRIBUTION
I know I said it would be a while until the next one of these would be posted, but I’ve actually made really good progress on all the content for the Miel Music Awards unlike 2021 when I was literally making all the videos the night before. So I’ll be slowly making these and posting them as I go.
Fun fact, this is my least favourite distribution video I think I will ever make it took me so long coz of all the times the members sing together. Absolutely painful I tell you
PS: I hope you like the new style. The only issue is the lack of names but I’m hoping you all know left to right is Hyunjoo, Sophia, Juni, Emma and Yejoon, and always will be

I know mixing a realistic kpop timeline with CALLA who have had 3 releases in 6 month is slightly confusing, but alas. Just pretend this all makes complete perfect sense in the fake group universe.
THESE AREN'T GROUPS I AM GOING TO RUN, I'M JUST ANNOUNCING THEIR EXISTENCE IN CALLA'S TIMELINE
MeHoney Entertainment was established in 2013 by Lee Jinyoung and his sister Lee Hwayoung.
Their first girl group debuted in 2015, named QUEENIE, with their fandom GEMIE.
QUEENIE consisted of 8 members.
Maddie - Leader, Lead Vocalist, Lead Dancer (Real name Gyuri)
Kumi - Main Dancer, Sub-Vocalist (Real name Miyuki - Japanese)
Minseo - Sub-Vocalist

SPIRE is still a reletavely new group, but have already been finding some success. Once again they're not as popular in Korea. Most of their fans are found in The Philipines
CALLA is rapidly growing in success domestically, and a smaller international fanbase has also been forming. Fans suspect CALLA will surpass SPIRE soon
QUEENIE often cause a lot of people to hate on MeHoney Entertainment, as they have been neglected quite a lot since the success of RANGERS. People think Minseo, Lena and Dohee all left the group due to neglect as they were the least promoted members. QUEENIE are dwindling on the edge of being nugu, sort of like Weki Meki

So! I was thinking! Ofc the CALLA LILY ROUNDUP has a lot to do with my headcanons of what is going on in the CALLA LILY universe, however, it feels like kind of a shame to exclude all the actual lilies on the forums from such a thing! So, AND THIS IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL, every Sunday I will be attaching this form to the end of the roundup. This form has 4 sections you could fill out! You could fill just one, or multiple! And it's unlimited how much you can add with one exception
1. If you have a question for any of the CALLA members or the group, you can ask it here! And in the next week roundup, I will give you the answer as if it was answered on a vlive
2. Your contributions to Lily Twt. I doubt this section will be popular. But put yourself in a Lily's shoes, what would you do to promote your bias on twitter? What is going on in the lily universe that you would fan over? Just let me know
3. Fandom drama. This is kinda like the last one, but more spicy and crazy. DO NOT NAME REAL FANDOMS in this section. If you want to pretend you are arguing with a fandom, whether a fake one or a real one, I would rather you just say "undisclosed fandom", and then if it ends up in the roundup you can know who the fandom actually was
4. Hate CALLA? Why not be the one causing the drama, and not defending them... Now this is the section where I'd prefer limited responses. Because while a little bit of hate is all good and fun because I can just assume it's for the drama, if I start getting waves of comments that are all just hateful it will actually start to hurt. So maybe just limit this to a once in a while thing, mk?
I'll post the form today for tomorrow's roundup, though I doubt there will be many responses in time for it. But maybe for the week after we will have more to post

Welcome back to the CALLA LILY roundup, and thanks to the person who submitted some prompts for today’s roundup. I did change the context for a couple, I hope you don’t mind. I also might save some others for another week. But no more dilly dallying. Here is the roundup!
Lily have been getting excited for the upcoming Fictional Kpop Artist Music Awards, and theorising what they should expect from CALLA. Hyunpple in particular are hoping for a Hyunjoo dance break.
The fandom has been (playfully) arguining about which of their three title tracks will be performed. The majority believe the group will perform No, but no one can agree between Love Dive and Eung Eung.
Youra have also been very suspicious of a Yejoon Instagram post in which her caption mentioned a butterfly. Many pointed out the photo had nothing to do with butterflies and it seemed to be a spoiler. Some think maybe it’s a comeback spoiler, others think it might’ve been her indirectly teasing Sophia after Yejoon and Emma revealed a story in which Sophia forgot the word butterfly. A lot of fans seem unable to agree though.
Hyunjoo and Yejoon did a vlive together, in which many things were revealed. One of which was the close friendship between the SPIRE members and CALLA members. Hyunjoo said that most of them had trained together and so there was a lot of friendship. Hyunjoo said she was particularly close to Soobin, as they could relate over being leaders of their groups. They also said Sophia is close with Jinhai due to the fact they both spoke Mandarin.
Lily are outraged because Hyunjoo said neither Sophia nor Emma are returning to their families for Christmas. According to them, particularly for Sophia, it would cost them too much to take the flights Taiwan and Jeju. Lily believe the company should be willing to spend the money for their idols to spend the holidays at home.
Yejoon also joked there’s been a rivalry between Sophia and Emma recently, as Emma had decided to start learning Japanese. Sophia had joked that Emma wouldn’t even learn Mandarin for her, which had caused friendly bickering.
A lot of Lily are feeling tense around Juli after they began trying to convince other fandoms to vote for No for best rap performance for the Fictional Kpop Artist Music Awards. Many Juli were specifically saying to “vote for Juni” which made some Lily feel like they were purposefully excluding the other members. Other Lily felt like they should be focusing on winning best vocal performance, as it would be an achievement for all five members and not just Juni. Juli clapped back, saying No was the first time Juni had the opportunity to rap in a title track, and MeHoney might not let her again unless the public supports her abilities.
