"ADOR releases a statement following NewJeans' press conference:"We regret that we planned and held a press conference on the termination of our exclusive contract without sufficient review before receiving a response to our certified mail. The exclusive contract signed between Adore and the members of New Jeans is still valid. Therefore, we ask that you continue to work with Adore in the future as you have done so far.""
#NewJeans loses contract dispute as court upholds validity of deal with ADOR. The Seoul Central District Court ruled that the dismissal of former CEO Min Hee-jin does not appear to violate NewJeans’s exclusive contracts.
NewJeans' side releases official statement following court's decision, asserting they will not return to ADOR and confirming they will file an appeal:—
"The members respect the court's judgment, but maintain the position that it is impossible to return to ADOR and continue normal entertainment activities in the current situation where the relationship of trust with ADOR has been completely broken.
Accordingly, the members plan to immediately appeal the first-instance ruling and hope that the appellate court will comprehensively review the facts and the legal principles regarding the termination of the exclusive contract once again to deliver a wise judgment.
Finally, we express our sincere gratitude to the fans who have waited and supported us for a long time.Thank you."
