Geez.. that’s rude of them to think that... by the sounds of it, they obviously don’t even know that there are many other kpop groups out there other than BTS. But geez they’ve gone way too far on that don’t you think?

I mean, if they don't really know anything about Kpop (and outside of Korea, let's face it, a lot of people don't), it's entirely feasible that BTS is their only experience of it...

I agree. I mean one of them is best friends with a girl who is obsessed with kpop too... so the fact she’d go to a kpop fan and say something like that was a bit... ouch. I mean like 5 seconds later I go “I like blackpink” and she replies “oh yeah she talks about blackpink all the time”.
I remember back in April when I started listening to Kpop I would only listen to Blackpink, but now I listen to (though not as many as some people) a fairly decent sized number of groups, and I just see these people who are hardcore stans of groups like BTS and honestly I’m glad I’m not someone who only stans one specific group and will fight for them with their life. I’ve seen comments, not only made by army, but by kpop stans in general which are just not ok. I wonder what goes through people’s head sometimes

This is why some people have already left the fandoms, since the fandoms are just way too toxic and they’re treating us as if the group’s are part of the #1 priority in the world of all time than everything else if that makes any sense. They also don’t even realise of how much they’ve been wasting a hell lot of their time of how much they’ve been hurting so many people with such hurtful and malicious comments, and that’s absolutely NOT of how being a fan of any particular group works. If BTS sees that they have many toxic army’s, I’m sure for a fact that the members themselves will be very upset about that, and it makes me sick!!!

I agree. I also believe that it's because most of ARMYs are mainly just that? Like, they aren't multifandom, so they tend to attack other groups/fandoms since they are "exclusive" and all that sh*t. Another thing to take into consideration is that now there are many new fans that know nothing about k-pop and how things work in this community, they come from stanning western artists where they are all aggressive and stuff like that, not really an excuse since they have always been like that but after BS&T it got worse.
I think they don't understand that even if they want to get separated from the "k-pop" genre which is really stupid tbh they still represent us and that's why we all look like some cringy 10 years old that can't take a critic.

I agree, I’m apart of Army but honestly some of them are literal psychopaths.Recently Jungkook was spotted with a female friend and they literally found and where she worked and who her friends were threatening her and her friends. I don’t think they can accept that BTS are humans just like us and have personal lives. I would hate to see what will happen when they get a significant other.

I agree with this and I still like them/listen to them but I had to remove myself from the fandom when the threats against myself and my children started. So, I guess if that makes me a hypocrite or someone who is only in it for the fandoms, that’s fine, but I couldn’t be a part of a fandom that threatened other people for their opinions.

It all started after I made a joke about how Jungkook was looking more and more like a daddy and how he was legal so I could bang him, obviously a joke, but a lot of army’s, especially Jungkook stans, got pressed and started attacking me, even when I apologized and told them it was a joke and that I would never do something like that to Jungkook, or anyone in BTS or any idol for that matter.

But oof- that is extremely traumatising how were you able to keep calm during these situations though? I would’ve freaked tf out if I had people sending me comments like that and this is why I’m way too scared to post about my own opinions in any other social media platforms other than just in this site nowadays, because of these people...

It bothered me. I didn’t leave my house for over a month, I didn’t even take my daughter outside half the time because I was scared. I’ve semi recovered now, this was back in the summer of last year June/July and I took a break from k-Pop because of it and didn’t start listening to it again until Monsta X’s comeback for Alligator last October. The worse part is, people were reporting my Instagram as being harassment towards minors and Instagram has completely banned me from using it now because of all the reports made on me...

YouTube and this place is probably the only place where I interact with more K-Pop fans in a virtual world, so I don't see as much stuff as you guys do. However, some people do provoke fan wars quite easily and unexpectedly...
