I’m not a fan of smoking/vaping and know that it can be dangerous for your health but if they’re adults I guess that’s they’re choice

I think people forget idols are still human. Yeah, some fans might be shocked, but they have personal lives too. Also, I’ve seen some swap over to less harsh stuff instead of regular smoking. I read about THCA distillate bulk being used by people who want something different—cleaner or more controlled. Not saying every idol does that, but it's another option out there that’s gotten more common lately.
