Nobody understands how hard I try every day & every single nanosecond. There's a lot of misconceptions about mental disorders & mental illnesses.

.... oh boy, where do I begin. Listen clearly. I don't think people understand what the fuck ADHD is & how it scientifically works. It's not a quirky condition, it's a fucking real disability. Like bro, no Sally, you do NOT have ADHD. You can't sit still or focus because you don't feel like it / want to or that just simply may be a part of your personality itself. I can't do those things because my brain literally doesn't fucking work that way lil bro! ADHD is a neurobiological disorder that PHYSICALLY fucking changes the way the brain is structured & functions. I can't focus because my brain is wired in a way where signals can't be fucking processed in order for me to be a "normal" human.

I honestly think ADHD is such a bad name. ADHD is a descriptive name, so people see Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder & assume that's all there is to it. Autism, for example, isn't a descriptive name. It's just a name, it doesn't stand for anything & doesn't represent any symptoms (rightfully so as Autism is an intensely complicated thing that even most neurologists themselves don't understand or understand the severity of), therefore people have no pre-existing assumptions based on the name unlike ADHD & generally people have to conduct actual fucking research to understand Autism. Honestly, even ADD is a better name as hyperactivity is just a result of our lack of ability to focus. I don't think people understand why people with ADHD do the things they do. Hyperactvity isn't even a main symptom, and it's not guranteed.

I have inattentive ADHD. I struggle with the attention part of ADHD more than the hyperactive part of ADHD. Yes, I fidget, I think almost all people with ADHD fidget in some way regardless of what type of ADHD they have. But I'm not running around everywhere all willy nilly. Hyperactive types don't even do that, I don't see why that's a stereotype. It's so stupid. I bounce my legs when sitting because my brain isn't receving the dopamine it needs to "want" to pay attention & also signals might get sent to the leg muscle sensor thingys (i'm not a biologist, if you want an in-depth explanation go look it up) making me bounce it because the signal to do that action accidentally got sent instead of the signal to process information. Also, moving actually releases dopamine. Idk why, but it does. I'm not a damn scientist, you go look it up fucktard.

People just see a person with ADHD fidgeting a lot, and they're like "ooooh, I do that too. I'm so quirky, lol XD". Okay, yes you do. But, the main important part is WHY we do it. Once again, it all comes back to the brain. Why do people with ADHD struggle with organization? We struggle with organization because organizing is a process of multiple steps, and completing multiple steps is so fucking hard because each one we overthink & get distracted from, and also organizing things require focus & repeated input, which is hard because.... I'm not fucking explaining it again (HINT: it has to do with the brain ofc dummy). Just because you suck at being organized doesn't mean you have ADHD you dumb bozo, you suck at being organized for an entirely whole different reason.

I think people are so insentive because ADHD is what neurologists call in simple terms " an invisible disorder". ADHD is an invisible disorder because it mainly happens in the brain & the only symptoms that are quite apparent when they get expressed are.... what the disorder is named after. Yes, schizophrenia is stigmatized, and I feel bad for schizophrenic people, but in my opinion schizophrenic people are in a way more understood than people when ADHD. Here's what I mean. Schizophrenic people can explain that they hear voices & they see things & they get urges to do things, etc. These things obviously aren't "normal", therefore these symptoms are taken more seriously.

When a person with ADHD talks about their symptoms, there's always some dickhead saying "oh, well I do that too". No the fuck you don't. If you do, not to this extent. If you do, it's not because it's the same causes of ADHD. ADHD symptoms can be passed off as common things. Oh, you can't pay attention? Just try harder, it works trust me. I used to struggle with that too :)! Oh, you do blah blah blah? Well if you did blah blah blah instead maybe you'd be more successful. Uhhhhhhhhhh, DON'T YOU THINK I HAVEN'T THOUGHT OF THAT YET EVEN THOUGH MY BRAIN IS ALWAYS FOCUSING ON MULTIPLE THINGS AT ONCE AND OVERTHINKING THE ABSOLUTE SIMPLEST TASKS YOU DUMB FUCKING INSENSITIVE WORTHLESS EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING!!!!!! Damn, I fucking hate people. It's lowkey interesting how people don't look for the simplest details in things.

I will continue my rant in another message as this is pretty long already

Part 2:
There are many more aspects of ADHD that people don't get. ADHD is dangerous. How? Many ways. I already typed a lot & I'm getting bored & I want to do something else so I'm not going to get into that or else my brain is going to scream at me and I die (exaggeration obviously). But I will talk about the emotional side of ADHD. Once again, because of the way the brain is physcially different from a "normal" & "healthy brain" yada yada yada read the first part if you didn't, we have struggles with our emotions. ADHD people actually have quite a bit of shared symptoms with BPD, which is why I was misdiagnosed with it for quite a while until I looked more into it with my doctor. Basically what I'm getting at is, "Normal" person happy < ADHD happy (higher highs basically), "Normal" person boredom < ADHD boredom (higher impatience), "Normal" person sadness < ADHD sadness (lower lows basically), etc. In even more simpler terms, people with ADHD have a higher degree of emotional extremes. Therefore, people with ADHD are considerably likely to commit ******* & other things like that.

Listen, I'm not making excuses. ADHD doesn't enable you to be a bad person, in fact I think that it should enable you to be a better person than most since your lifestyle due to the disability affecting experiences & providing new context for life. However, on that same topic, a lot of things can be explained because of ADHD. Why do I react this way when someone does this particular thing? Answer: b r a i n. Why this why that why everything? Answer: because b r a i n. Basically, since people with ADHD aren't normal it shouldn't be expected for them to behave, think, and react in a way that a "normal" person would. There's a huge difference, and it's important to know it.

Uhhhhhhh, there's much more I can say as ADHD is a very complicated disorder, (which any disorder relating to the brain is obviously since the brain is an essential, if not THE most essential part of what makes us human in everyday life). But, my brain hurts & I want to do something else. However, I will continue this scientific discussion whether you care or not later anyway, just not right now.

To Be Continued....

Growing up, I faced similar incidents of emotional and physical abuse from a family member. Like you, I felt unheard and dismissed when I tried to seek help. It's disheartening when authorities fail to recognize the signs of abuse and invalidate our experiences.

Despite the setbacks, please know that you're not alone in this. There are people who understand what you're going through and want to support you. It's essential to prioritize your safety and well-being above all else.

If you're open to exploring different coping mechanisms, I've found that researching prescribed cannabis oil has been enlightening for me. It's a personal decision, but it's worth considering as part of your journey toward healing.
