That’s a totally normal thing to worry about! But honestly, being a JYP trainee is like having a degree from Harvard. Even if you don't debut there, other companies will be lining up to sign you because they know you’ve had the best training in the world.
Also, as of 2026, there are new laws in Korea that protect trainees. You’re required to stay in school, so you’ll still have your education. If you don't debut, you can:
- Join a different company (a lot of idols do this and become even more famous!).
- Switch to acting or modeling.
- Go back to a 'normal' life with a really cool experience on your resume.
Most people who leave JYP end up debuting somewhere else or becoming successful in the industry in other ways. Don't let the 'what if' stop you from trying
