Same reason I dislike Super Junior + they're also fatphobic.

One more unpopular opinion.
Seventeen is underrated within general kpop fans. Now you may disagree with me as they are big in South Korea but hear me out for this: all kpop stans I know are in at least one of the fandoms: stays (i encounter a lot of them), armies, onces, blinks, reveluvs, aghases, nctzens, moas, atinys and midzys. For me, it's quite rare to find a carat.

i'd like to stan svt and become a carat, but i'm afraid of like- not knowing faces, names, etc. one of the same reason why i don't stan nct

I wanted to stan NCT but after trying to memorize Seventeen's faces and who they are I was like 'Nope. I don't have enough braincells to memorise their faces even though I know their names.'

It‘s not... Like, official, but based on things that they have said and done in the past, I can’t support them or their music.
B.I, I believe, pranked his mom as coming out by gay to her- before telling her it was a joke. stuff like that... crosses the line.

Oh honey do you know how many groups i stan? and i can remember most of who people are. When you are super into them you’ll remember haha

Wait suju isn’t fatphobic, and besides heechul is known as one of the most respectful men in the industry. i don’t think shindong would stay in suju if they were fatphobic, but prove me wrong? idk much so

I'm not sure if this is unpopular or not but.

BTS being brought into every conversation about Kpop is lowering the entire genre into the kind of music BTS writes.
Like for a majority B.A.P and BTS sound different, right? Well people in other countries only hear about how amazing BTS is and they think that its the only way Kpop sounds, which in reality isn't true.

Anyway a positive one Ravi actually has really good B-Sides and I like them <3

Agreed. They are much more popular locally than they are internationally. They still have fame in the West but being a Carat is almost a rarity on this forum

To be fair he might‘ve meant that socially. I mean he knows what it’s like, but still men probably get treated better. He probably realizes that a chubbier woman in Korea will have less opportunity- and that’s true. You are required to put a photo on your resume. Your weight can negatively impact you. but idk...

idk, the way he said it seemed really sexist, and it just doesn't sit right. It seemed more condescending than informing. but we are all open to our own opinions and perspectives on the issue

Yeah. All of the kpop stans in my school are basically full of stays (most common in my school), armies, onces, ahgases and nctzens. There are a few carats but I don't hear them talk about Seventeen that much. One kpop stan (she is a full on stay and nctzen btw) in my year 9 Digital Imaging class said that she only knows two members from Seventeen, which is Woozi and Vernon.

Shindong is. He has specifically said in an interview (?): "If someone had to lose weight, I would tell that person to lose weight. Lose some weight, why can’t you take care of yourself. When I say this, the person might think, ‘Look who’s talking,’ but I would reply, ‘I’m a boy and you’re a girl.‘” This sounded both fatphobic and sexist to me.
And Leeteuk also said he dislikes fat girls because he thinks they're lazy and they don't take care of themselves like health reasons are non existent. I was mostly hurt about him cause he was the one I liked the most in this group. He even commented on Suzy's weight once telling her to lose weight as if she wasn't already skinny enough.
People said they have apologized but I haven't seen any apologies anywhere and even if they did I'm sure it's because they got caught.
