My first group was BTS back in 2016. I was a huge fandom/book nerd and always on Pinterest or Tumblr. I kept seeing this term 'K-pop' and had no idea what it meant. Finally, my curiosity got the better of me and I looked up the only kpop word I knew at the time...Jungkook. It was a quick downward spiral after that.
My first band was Super Junior. I found them on 2010 when I was watching kdrama called You're Beautiful and there was used part of Sorry Sorry and it stucked in my head and I started to look for this song and I found my lovely SuJu.
T-ara without doubt. First I was listening casually trending kpop songs, SNSD, K-ara, f(x), etc. Watching Running Man I found Suzy attractive so I checked her group and filmography. I watched Dream High and Eunjung stepped on her. Then I checked T-ara discography and it became the first group I ever stanned. It was the Roly Poly effect.
It was back in 2017. I knew about kpop before then but only as a term, I had never looked deeper into it before.
I was watching a reaction video and BTS' 'Not Today' appeared. I got addicted and then I became first an Army then a kpop stan after discovering and began stanning more kpop groups/solo artists.
It was all because of that video (and it wasn't even my first kpop mv. The first was Overdose by Exo)
My first group was BTS, I found them in 2015 because I had an assignment on j-pop songs and I used the Japanese version of Danger for it. But I didn't actually get into kpop or stan them until the start of 2018
My first kpop group was Apink and it was back in 2013. I discovered them through a friend of mine and when I first saw a picture of them, I thought that they looked very pretty and cute and so I decided to search up one of their songs along with their music videos to watch, and the song + MV that I first clicked on was NoNoNo and I found the song pretty catchy. Then I thought that I should look at their other stuff on youtube as well such as them being in reality shows etc. and that was when I became a pinkpanda (their fandom name) at that time for a year (so yeah I’m not a pink panda anymore lol).
Mine was Bts at the end in 2017. I listened to the music channel CityTV and started the song on bts Mic Drop and when the song end I was shooked and just say this boys are very cool. And thats was how I started to listen Bts
Twice. I'm a regular on Twitch, watching miniature painters; most of them have random playlists, but a handful have song request enabled, including the one I watch most often. One of the viewers added Twice's Like Ooh-Aah to the playlist several streams in a row; the first couple of times it kinda washed over me, but by maybe the third or fourth consecutive stream, it started getting into my head, and I decided to head over to YouTube to see what else they had to offer...
