im still wondering if that's gonna affect X1's contracts at all. or iz*one and fromis_9's contracts for that matter, if the investigation uncovers similar results for the other shows.

For those that have watched the show, regarding that ‘2-3 members were swapped due to the rigging’ thing do you guys think that these could’ve been the trainees that would’ve gotten to the top 10 instead of the ones that were actually chosen?

I got this one from another user, and I thought I could post it here and show it to you guys

Yeah and the fact that dohyon, Hangyul and one other trainee had to join the show was so that they could save their company from going to bankrupt.. but i guess that ain’t working anymore since the police are now bringing them into this mess smh 🤦‍♀️

UPDATE:

The Lawyer States That The Real Ranking From “PRODUCE X 101” Final Votes Will Be Revealed One Day
So it turns out that the police confirmed about the votes being RIGGED, and that 2 or 3 of the members of X1 have received votes that were actually supposed to belong to the eliminated trainees by then. MBK, Woollim and Starship were called in for investigation. Yikes! 😶😬
https://www.koreaboo.com/news/lawyer-real-ranking-produce-x-101-final-votes-revealed/
But still, I don’t think that the lineup would change since and it was even confirmed by Swing and many other fans that it won’t change, which is a good thing.

Now, despite Minhee who is believed to be one of the 2-3 members that have received the rigged votes. Other reports have also claimed that Hangyul and Dongpyo are also revealed to be the possible members that received the manipulated votes.. why Dongpyo though...? Like I know that he wasn’t always in the top 10 in every single elimination episode, but DSP media didn’t get involved in this mess...

Minhee took Jungmo's place and Minkyu was actually the X member. MBK was going bankrupt so what better way to save their company than to put both Hangyul and Dohyun in the group
I also thought that too since both of them were usually in the top 10. But yeah at least both Hangyul and dohyon got into the final lineup anyway, otherwise idk what else to say other than that lol 😅

I just read this and got so scared... I think it's okay for the police to also investigate this: big cases of corruption start from small things like this. Music agencies get into a lot of deep sh*t, and these things that seem small might cover something way bigger!
In another post I said that I felt like a few members didn't got to where they are by their own ways, and those two are actually here... The amount of screentime given and the position in the groups and performances just don't make any sense to gather all those votes, and they also weren't famous before nor are immensely charismatic...
I just hope things get solved and the truth comes out even if nothing changes with the group itself. The rest of the contestants deserve to know the truth.

I know right! It’s funny how the police tend to focus more on the rigged votes than the even worse criminal cases as if the criminal cases are not that bad like wtf..
right? like, where was this energy when they were investigating all the yg stuff?? the investigations were dragging on for so long and yet i still feel like some things were left uncovered...

You can't really ring a show without money, Mnet wouldn't have taken the risk.
Forming the best team out the trainees is probably what they wanted, to have a group who will acheive some success. Actualy it seams to work. I don't know the contract, but I'm pretty sure Mnet would benefit from it.

Since I follow some MBK artists, I know they were producing The Unit, Under 19 and Miss Trot. So they have influence power even if they are mostly broke.

But it's not only these 3 companies, police also raided IZ*one members companies (not identified yet).

So you can't really throw hate to one or another, it's a bigger scheme, and probably a way for them to survive. If you survey the sell numbers, there are only few companies who earn anything, and their way of doing business might be in the grey zone too.

I won't defend the ringing show. I'm glad it's became an issue and that the police is investigating it.

But don't be blind, illicit coalitions to fix prices are something you can see everywhere.
