KCSC reveals potential punishment for Mnet regarding the vote manipulation in Produce X 101

It has been revealed by The Korea Communications Standards Commission (known as KCSC) that Mnet will be fined from 10 million won ($8,490.30 USD) to 30 million won ($25,300 USD) for manipulating the votes in Produce X 101.

KCSC even responded by stating:
“We are considering the issue of a show claiming to be a national voting audition program deceiving viewers as a grave one. We may be able to impose a heavy sanction or a penalty based on Clause 1 of Article 1 of the Broadcasting Act. We have decided to hear the opinions [of those involved] regarding the issue, and we will make a decision after taking into account the results of the ongoing police investigation.”

The police are now looking into the possibilities of the producing directors manipulating the show for monetary compensation exchange.​

the fine should've been more than just this smh, they didnt just steal money from national producers, they also affected the mentality and emotions of the trainees and their families ugh..

Well the PD is under arrest now. He will probably get 6 months of probation.

That doesn't seem to be enough money to really make them learn a lesson and stop them from doing something similar again.....
That's just a little slap on their hands...

Arresting some of the people that were mainly involved in the rigging will maybe teach them a lesson but they probably didn't even punish the ones who really deserved to be. I've got a feeling there were more people pulling strings in this, who stayed hidden.
