I have a friend who used to enjoy it, she said that when EXO formed (2011) is when she got out of it. Never really specified why.
Still she's the only friend I can talk to about the genre.

Update! Within the last year I made a few friends who enjoy it. Some of them work at Artbox, one of the local K-pop stores here & another works downtown.
SHINee, INFINITE, TWICE, Stray Kids, TXT, aespa, and Le Sserafim are a few of their Ult groups.
