According to a report the two parties failed to come in terms with the potential of a new contract resulting to CL departing from the agency.

CL has claimed that YG ignored her text messages and hasn't been able to release new music ever since 2NE1's goodbye final track in 2017.

My personal opinion on this:
Honestly I feel sad she's leaving a company she's been so long with but more happy that she gets to join a new entertainment that would hopefully care more about her!

Update: YG just denied reports of CL leaving the company stating "We are currently in discussion of the matter"

Final update: YG officially announced on November 8, 2019 that CL's contract has been terminated.

I would love if they all left the company and maybe joined to PSY's. Literally PNation been getting good reviews and Jessi, Dawn and Hyuna had bomb comebacks with their own personal styles instead of adapting to a stereotype. Dreaming is free lmao

i hope she doesnt leave...
the one who did this to her was Yang Hyunsuk, the old executive producer. but hes gone now and so is the old ceo (YG's brother)..
with the new executive producer and ceo, i hope they treat her well and help her promote more!
please stay and help yg entertainment come back up, bc you staying means helping other groups promote and trainees debut in the future!

There's a chance that the her and the other members might join Park Bom in DNation, which is a pretty good company, considering all of Bom's success this year
But I secretly want GD to start his own company and for all the members of 2NE1 to sign with him

I don't like that she hasn't been able to give Blackjacks any news as to what she has and is up to, I keep looking for updates from her and there hasn't been any on instagram about her leaving and/or getting a new company.
I just want her to be able to do what she would like to do, whether it be music with a new company or perhaps make her own company like Hyolyn (member of sistar) or even work independently.
With the current situation around YG it isn't looking good for anybody there, I am happy that she has decided to leave but I hope that she doesn't lose heart in her abilities and herself, I do not want her to sink deeply into herself and not come back shining on the stage.
I will support CL no matter what she chooses to do.
