Chapter 2

Jungkook looked around as he exited the building, walking down the dirt path. He stopped suddenly whenever he heard movement. "H-hello?" He called out.

"J-Jungkook..” a weak voice called out, as Jihyo came walking out of the bushes with an arrow sticking out of her neck.

"Jihyo!" Jungkook caught her as she fell, "who did this?!" He asked but jumped back as another arrow was shot, hitting Jihyo in her thigh as she fell over.

Jungkook jumped up, looking up to see Wonho running towards him with his crossbow. He shot at Jungkook, but missed, letting Jungkook get away.

Wonho tripped, falling down the hill as his cross bow flew out of his hands. He looked up whenever he saw someone standing there, picking his weapon up. "Wonho, is this yours?" MJ asked.

Wonho jumped up and changed at MJ, who fell backward and in a panic, shot Wonho in the chest with one of the arrows. MJ threw the crossbow down and ran off before anyone else could find him.

Jungkook had been walking a while before he finally stopped to check his bag. He didn't even know what his own weapon was. He dropped to his knees and unzipped the pack, confused as to why he didn't have a weapon, before his hand gripped a handle.

“A frying pan? Really?” Jungkook asked himself as he pulled the pan out.

A twig snapping behind him caused him to jump to his feet, holding the frying pan close to him, ready to swing if he needed to.

“Jungkook?”

“Elly!” Jungkook lowered his frying pan as he ran over to Elly, hugging her.

“Are you okay? Whose blood is?” Jungkook asked.

“Tae’s, I’m not sure...I’m not injured though..” Elly said.


The sound of a gun shot off in the distance got both of their attention, "Okay, we need to move, it's not safe out in the open." Jungkook grabbed his backpack and the two of them began running.


They stopped when they found a cave to rest. Elly opened her pack, pulling out a pair of binoculars. "I guess we both got useless weapons.." Jungkook sighed.


"I guess so." Elly sighed as she sat the backpack down and leaned against him. "I can't believe this.." she said.


"Me either.." Jungkook sighed as he looked over at Elly as she leaned her head against his shoulder.

JinJin had found an old abandoned building that seemed to house computers. He immediately began thinking that if he could hack into the system, he could get the collars to unlock and they could all get off of this island before anyone else died.


As he was looking around, he heard a noise outside of the building. Grabbing his flashlight, he went to the door where he shone the light out, "whose there?" He called.


"It's just me." Kihyun's voice called out, as he entered the room.


"And me." Yoongi's voice followed as he followed the younger boy inside.


"What do you two want?" JinJin asked, not letting his guard down just yet.


"What are you doing, Jinwoo?" Kihyun asked as he looked around.


Jinwoo sighed and motioned them to follow him to a computer. He looked at them, speaking softly, in almost a whisper, "I'm going to try to get one of these working so I can hack into the system and disable the collars."


Yoongi and Kihyun's mouths fell open. "We'll help!" Kihyun said.


JinJin shushed him. He grabbed a notepad and a pen.


They can hear everything we say. I figured this out about an hour ago. We need to keep as quiet as we can so they don't know what we're up to, but I would appreciate the help.


He showed the notepad to Yoongi and Kihyun, seeing the two nod. "Got it." Yoongi said, as he opened his pack and pulled out a bag of chips, before opening it and sticking a chip in his mouth.

"Dahyun! Come drink with us!" Shownu said, waving a bottle of beer towards Dahyun. She rolled her eyes as she walked over and took the bottle, taking a huge sip, before handing it back.


"It's a shame that people like Taehyung caused this," Minhyuk said as he took a sip of his beer.


"I really thought teacher was going to kill Jungkook too, especially when he tried to attack him." Namjoon said.


The four of them looked up as someone walked onto the beach where they were drinking.


"Hey! Whose there!!" Namjoon called.


"It's one of those transfer students." Dahyun said.


"Hey, you want to drink with us?" Minhyuk waved the beer in front of JB's face.


JB didn't respond, instead, he drew his gun and started firing shots. Two shots hit Shownu, but he picked his own gun up and tried to fire at him, but another shot from JB's uzi killed him.


He took out Namjoon and Minhyuk easily, before looking at Dahyun. "Please don't!" She begged, crawling away.


JB aimed his gun at her and fired repeatedly, until she stopped moving.

“Time for an update, listen carefully,” Kiriyama’s voice came over the innercom.


"These are the students who have died:



Sihyeon


Taehyung


Jihyo


Wonho


Namjoon


Shownu


Minhyuk


Dahyun


And here are the danger zones for the next three hours, west side of the island, and south side. If you are in either of those areas it is best to move somewhere else for now."


The innercom went silent after that as Elly looked at Jungkook. "What do we do?" She asked, as they looked at their map.


"We need to move, we're in a danger zone." Jungkook took her hand as their collars began beeping.


The two of them ran as fast as they could, hoping if they made it out of the danger zone, the beeping would stop.


When it finally did, the two of them sat down, panting and sweaty. "I'm...I'm so glad you're here, Jungkook, I couldn't do this alone." Elly said.


Jungkook grinned, blushing even. "I promise to protect you, Elly." He said, still not letting go of her hand.
