Am I the only one who can't stand when people are shipping idols with other idols by making videos on youtube/other platforms with
catching random moments of idols looking at each other's directions at award shows. I recently bumped into a video with Huening Kai of TXT and Yuna of ITZY and I'm like 'wow they were fast'. These idols have just debuted plus they are still minors (both under 18)

Now I'm not saying that idols are not allowed to date one another and there's any chance they could be dating or have secret feelings for
one another off stage/behind cameras but this kind of thing goes beyond delusional and most of these people making such videos actually believe their ship is real based on what they are supposedly seeing. This could make idols both uncomfortable and awkward with each other in the future.

Now if someone making such videos just thinks the pair they chose to present look good together in their eyes is not so bad but taking it too far and start declaring that the two idols are definitely in a relationship, this is not ok. To sum it up; some realism wouldn't harm xD

What are your thoughts on this topic?

I thought I was the only one who really can’t stand idols being shipped. I always think of how awkward and weird it can be for idols. I’m more into friendships within idols. 🍵
Exactly. I mean it's okay to innocently think two idols would look cute together but this is not always the case for some fans. And I'm also talking about same-sex idols too. It'd be better to consider how an idol would feel after seeing something extreme about him/her :(
Shipping them purely as friends is a different story. There's nothing wrong about that :)

Yeah, I just cringe when shippers say [Ship] is so real, look at blah blah blah...It’s a real friendship but it might not be a real relationship. It’s just so weird how they can make a friendship become something so uncomfortable for idols

True. They can joke about it but when they actually mean it, it's kinda problematic :-/

Is it just me who took "ship" in real life like friendship and "ship" in anime relationship (Who actually got together)? But I'll admit I've done it sometimes in real life... which stopped later on because my friend was shipped by someone else and me as a bystander was cringed by the rumors (It didn't go on).

I agree with this, sometimes shippers take things too far and make things that are 18+ and such when both or one of the Idols are minors. It's uncomfortable knowing there are fans like that. It's been known that Idols even checked out fanfics before made from fans about each other or member x with y. It's remarkable to see what a single glance can make people think xD

I find it more awkward and cringe when people ship idols with another idol from two different groups like for example, Yuna (ITZY) and HueningKai (TXT) like you mentioned, is an example of this and i can’t stand it...like can people just leave the idols alone and let the idols themselves do their own thing!?!
Right, but Idols are fabricated that way it's what sells sometimes. It's sad...

Some even "stalks" Twitter & YouTube, which I dunno if it's better or worse
Probably worse if they see stuff like that. I wouldn't want to be in their place.

Preach. It's like they're forcing their idols to like each other romantically. It's their lives, they can decide who they want to date.

It might damage their friendships and such with each other, just imagine how uncomfortable they will be :(
I know an example of Kris and Tao when they were in Exo. I read they were close but after being shipped sexually they naturally drifted apart from one another. It wasn't the same as before. It really sucks.

Just thinking about them reading or watching about the ships involving them 😖😖😖
Anyone would've felt uncomfortable. Imagine you and I are idols who only know each other from the news and random encounters at award shows then some people start shipping us because we happened to look at each other's direction 😂 When there's no connection between idols other than the nature of their job it's even crazier.

I hate it when it comes to that point. Some of their friendships are genuine, but then fans intervene and it affects them in negative ways.
