2 trainees: one trainee from PDX101 and the other from Idol School were interviewed by MBC. Though, their names are revealed as unknown/unidentified.

A PDX101 trainee, identified as “A” has revealed how certain trainees were given highly preferential treatment compared to other trainees. He even said that the real opportunity for winning was only limited to a handful of trainees, and that the production team would only pre-film certain trainees to give them more spotlight with the idea of who they believed would be the most popular ones rather than anything else.
“There was a trainee that knew the song used for the competition in advance. We asked him how he knew, and he told us that the choreographer told him.”

An entertainment agency CEO, identified as “B” was also interviewed, revealed that a there’s been a conspiracy/collusion between some of the entertainment agencies and people within in the production team.
“I’ve heard things such as ‘it seems like several companies already knew of the list of trainees beforehand’ and ‘they probably were already aware of the entire situation.’”

An idol school trainee, identified as “C” revealed that to appear on the show, some trainees didn’t even have to audition to do so. (oh....😶)
“There were 3,000 people who auditioned for the show, but out of the 40 of the trainees that were accepted onto the show, only 4 of us were actually there at the auditions.”

What do you guys think of this?

What's the point of making 'competition' shows when there really isn't a competition and it's all rigged? Put all of that time, effort, and money into promotion and then all this controversy wouldn't happen.

It’s all due to Mnet’s and the production teams favouritisms really that’s showing within these shows really..

@v_minessa what do you think of this issue?
hmm I had read about it and I definitely feel uneasy about what goes on within the production of these shows, especially since it involves mnet 🤔 there's no doubt that mnet is very favorable, but this is like the cherry-on-top..
I think it's beyond unfair to the trainees who aren't given the fair treatment and have to witness all this favoritism :( not only is it like a waste of time for these underrated trainees but it's also hurtful to them, because I feel that if they see this going on, they might realize from the start that they won't make it and they're just on the show as a "prop"
imagine training for months and years and to see trainees with shorter training time/better visuals/minimum talent/more popularity get all the spotlight ?? that's just inhumane towards these trainees.
if this doesn't scream rigged, i dont know what does 🤦‍♀️
even worse for the trainees that had to audition.. they worked so hard but it turns out other trainees were given the red carpet and walked right in smh

Exactly! Though, what I was thinking is that what if some of the trainees did actually vfound out about this beforehand...? I guess they perhaps wouldn’t feel comfortable to be on the show right now, knowing that they might get robbed (idk if thats the right word but lets just go with that)

I hate this so much but at this point it's just not even surprising anymore. The industry works like that like shit and it must've hurt so many trainees knowing that even if they did their best, the others would still advance.
At PDX101 there were trainees that literally appeared like, what, 20 seconds in total? This is going to be a fully biased comment but Saebom from MAXXAM literally was on the screen just once when he helped Jinwoo and was LITERALLY NEVER SEEN AGAIN until he got eliminated in the 5th episode 'cause he placed #69
But oh well, this ain't the first time happening and it won't be the last

Yeah I don’t know all of the trainees cause again I haven’t watched the show, but all of them definitely deserve to get the right amount of screen time that they need so then they’ll get noticed equally I guess.

yesss that's the word i was looking for myself, "robbed". almost like they were cheating out of their dreams too. it must've been painful and even awkward to be around the favorable trainees, knowing they had a 10x better chance than you..
i wonder if any trainees tried to use them to get some spotlight too? like, try to befriend them or be in a group with them or try to interact with them when the cameras were rolling bc they thought they might've at least gotten some attention (or maybe it'll catch mnets eye too who knows)

If that’s the case which I can tell it might be in almost every show is pretty stupid

Lol feel you! Each episode is so long tho.. spoiler: the final one lasts 4 hours.
I’ve only seen the second half of the final episode during live because i legit thought that it started at 11pm KST like every episode normally would, but it actually started like a few hours before that and so I literally missed the first half of the episode live 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
And so for that one I’ve only seen the part where all the remaining 20 trainees have to stand on the stage during the finale waiting for some of their names to be called out.
