I had a feeling they were going to be 5 but I also suspect they might debut them all in the end and that's just a marketing strategy. Either way if they're going to be 5 members in the end I lowkey hope the two youngest are not in the final line-up solely because they're too young; especially Chiquita.

Idc how talented the youngest members are, they need to be the ones cut. Debuting idols really young is harmful for them. If they’re talented now, they can continue to train and prepare and try again when they’re older. But I also think this whole cut 2 members think is just as bad for their mental health. Whoever gets cut, if whoever, is gonna have to spend the rest of their life seeing these girls, their friends, be a reminder of what could of been them. My thoughts exactly when I saw this news. Some of those girls are so young they were basically starting school during the pandemic

its so weird to think im only 2 years older than their youngest member-
really hoping that they decide to hold back the two youngest members because I feel like they still have a lot for their future and they could be improving in the mean time while they are getting older/a more appropriate age to debut

This decision is so YG-like, not surprising at all. First, he introduced the girls, created hope inside fans and the girls, and suddenly after posting many individual videos and covers of ot7, he announces that it'll just be 5 members. This whole thing is just for media play. When debuting Treasure he just played with the number of members that he would debut. It was seven at first then it became five if I remember correctly. However, even after announcing the debut lineup, he added more members and created two units and later Ben left YG. Then suddenly the remaining members were made into one group. Just like @cookiejar told all of these are Yang Hyunsuk's marketing strategy or simply because he doesn't know how to be decisive or maybe just to have fun playing with people's feelings.
But if Baemon debuts with five members, I hope YG doesn't debut the youngest two members, because they still have time. And their talents and time won't be wasted because their potential is known worldwide by now.
