Well for me sometimes it can be and sometimes not! Sometimes I guess personally it depends on the phrase/word. Sometimes it's easier for me to learn singing Kpop but learning Korean is harder!

If you show full dedication and persistence you can learn the Hangul alphabet relatively easy. If you compare their letter characters to the Chinese/Japanese ones for example you'll realize that Korean are much simpler to memorize (as much impossible as it sounds xD)
Many of their letters tho have a very similar pronunciation and that's the only tricky part if you ask me;
Watching color coded lyric videos help aswell with some phrases/words and are easier like you said too
