Why is "silence is violence" for BLM but not the Thai issue?

Have you noticed this? Many fans have said Thai idols should not be obligated to speak about the police violence occurring in Thailand which many regular Thais are talking about. Yet international fans championed Sam Okyere for speaking about BLM in Korea. Thai oppression by their ruling class has been a problem for centuries.

So why is it shameful to be quiet in one case, but in the other it's perfectly fine to be silent?
