why are girl groups more popular compared to boy groups

idk i always felt like gg are more popular than bg but i wanna know why so as the title says

Personally I‘ve always thought boy groups were more popular but lately I have seen way more successful girl groups

that's what i thought as well but when i looked further into it, it seems like gg's are more popular, it's more abt popularity than success cuz like they're all quite successful. but what makes gg more special or whatever than bg's

Maybe theres just more people now attracted to the girliness of most girl groups, but it really depends on the person so maybe one year there were more people into the girliness of girl groups and another year the hardcore music of boy groups. Of course im not saying all gg and bg are like that it’s just most groups

honestly it does seem like ggs are more popular, I'm always coming across underrated bgs more than I am for ggs. It's also because I don't go great with really girly concepts like what illit has but I really like newjeans and twice's older concepts at the same time it's like there are even barely any underrated ggs bc I feel like I already know about all of them more than I do bgs.

I do have a really huge love for ggs but after this year it's started to switch to bgs so atp I'm really in between. it's like ggs get noticed more tho so they tend to be more popular while for bgs there are a lot of underrated ones who are really good.
