I had a friend in high-school who enjoyed the genre, we watched the premier of S.E.S.' mv for '('Cause) I'm Your Girl' at his parents place. So thanks to him and S.E.S. I got hooked, then got into G.O.D and Fin.K.L (Fin Killing Liberty) a year later.
