Hello loves!!! <3 There was recently a new K-Pop group that debuted, KAACHI! It consists of Dani, Coco, Chunseo, and Nicole. I listened to their MV, Your Turn, and I'd say it wasn't too bad. I don't know what to think of them though, two of the members have had scandals before and I'm not enthusiastic about them having non-east Asian members. I don't mind Lana as much, she debuted with a Korean company, looks Korean-ish, and I'd think she'd be better in a group but that's just an opinion. I don't like the majority of KAACHI fans. I tried talking about this on a post and they keep saying that there's an Asian member in the group. I do think that I'd be fine if they took inspiration from K-Pop or have had all east Asian members but there's only one Korean (which I think was done on purpose, but I'm not entirely sure), and the rest are Spanish/British. Chunseo, one of the members, recently posted an edit of her with Jungkook. I was confused at first, but then I realized that she was shipping herself with him. I don't get annoyed easily and I will say that I'm really easygoing (;D), but it wasn't professional. I was thinking of giving them a chance, because no one deserves to be hated on, but after this I'm feeling neutral. Also the one member comparing herself to Hwasa. I don't have much of an opinion on this but I think she could've worded it better. Hwasa and her are nothing alike and therefore it is being unprofessional again. Here's something a user on reddit posted, "Kpop is so unique not only because the artists sing in a different language and are, Korean. It’s unique because it’s a balanced package of performance, dancing and singing, done at the same time. Kpop itself is greatly influenced by Western pop. Music is music. But the way the artists come to be, the system which brings artist to debut, is different. It’s deeply rooted in the Korean history and society. In other words, Korean history is deeply rooted in Kpop." and here's another one, "I feel like none of it works. Neither can they really sing Korean or are based in Korea or even put in the training Korean idols do . On top of that they lack everything that makes Kpop groups Kpop groups like it doesn’t seem like they can sing , dance or even have a stage presence. It doesn’t make sense. They could’ve easily been a ukpop girl group. It feels like a mockery of Kpop. Their producer/ director said that they wanna change the idea that Kpop is just Korean music genre to its a global one . This all honestly seems like a joke. That that’s what they see Kpop as. It’d made sense if the girls seemed passionate abt what they were doing but it just doesn’t work at all"
I'm not sure if this will be a valid comparison. I'm not Indian but I enjoy their music. Let's say I become a fan of an Indian singer/s. I love it so much and I meet 2 other people that also love it (non-Indian). We go to India together and find an Indian who befriends us. Together, we decide to start a group and call us an Indian group. Only two members speak good Indian, my friend and the Indian girl. We make Indian themed music in Hindi/English and dress in saris. We post edits of us with Indian singers and compare ourselves to famous Indian singers. This is KAACHI. Please, please, please do not send hate to them. If you like them, like them, but if you hate them do not post about them. Stay neutral. What are your thoughts? :D<3

I'm impressed that you took the time to write all this ❤

Personally I'm open to getting to know this new group but.... their style of music isn't my taste but they only just debut so they might release good content in the future.
Personally, I think their fandom name is a bit strange and maybe inappropriate.
I also think that they might change the future for K-pop to become more accepting of foreigners from outside the Asian countries who want to debut.
I do wish luck for KAACHI for the future and want to see what will happen to this group.

I think that's the most I've ever written tbh
I ramble too much srry

I feel the same way about them as i feel about exp. I personally dont find them interesting but im sure they have a target audience and im not part of it so why ruin it for those who will enjoy. Im sure theres like 13 year old white girls who will love their music due to the fact its the same thing they wanna do but you gotta grow up and say, "hey this is unfeasible maybe i need to change".

I’m not a big fan but their debut was great. Nothing much I dislike about them.

I don’t really have an opinion on them.
I didn’t like their debut, but tbh they didn’t deserve the intense wave of hate they got

I have mixed feelings about Kaachi. Their debut song isn't something I would listen to but I really like how much enthusiasm and potential the members have. They are still new... maybe they will release something that would interest me 👀

idk. i have mixed opinions, i don’t think it was ok for people to intensely hate on them and bash them, but i also don’t like some of their personalities, and i sorta feel like they are kinda full of themselves but maybe im wrong! just wish them luck for future promotions

I didn't really have an opinion but I saw them before. There is something I heavily dislike about them, and it's their lack of professionalism. When they compare themselves or talk about other idols they start sounding like Oli London and become annoying. Plus, if they wanna make korean style music I think they must learn korean. Even so, I don't think they deserve hate, but rather constructive criticism.
It may not seem like I do, but when auditions were held in LA for Nizi Project, I heavily considered being an idol. I thought I had everything: dance, music trainment, rap, a kinda asian look (I'm a mestizo mexican) and since a year ago I started studying 日本語。But, I started researching about idols' expected behavior and asian conduct rules and I gave up. Even before flying to LA, I didn't feel confident nor very informed about asian culture. I knew that if I didn't act profesionally or "cute" I would get hate. And I think that's a thing Kaachi members should consider. If they wanna be idols, then act like idols.
Looking back now, if I got into the final lineup some of you would be stanning my group

I mean they didn't say they are literally them.
And I kind of agree, but I'll miss their Your Turn era.
Anddd why do they deserve constructive criticism?
Idols have no personality, what do you mean?
Also, they are already idols like bruh.
Also, you have a group? Orrr what do you mean by that?

are they amazing singers, dancers, or rappers? no. are they actually kpop like they say? no. but i like them. idk much abt their personalities, tbh, but i like their songs, and photo magic is rly good. they just seem to me like girls who rly like kpop and want to be idols (which is not weird. lots of kpop fans - including non-asians - want to be an idol at some point, and these girls are no different (also, coco is korean, and chunseo is half asian)) but should have been more educated abt what is and isn't offensive. and if they had called themselves a kpop inspired grp, they wouldn't have gotten so much hate. but they definitely don't deserve the hate. they seem sweet, if not a little misguided.

Nah I don't have a group I didn't even audition. I was refering to NiziU, the group formed by Niziproject. And I never mentioned personality, acting is a different thing.

I think same. Specially bc I wanted to be an idol. But I think teh problem comes when you wanna be a kpop idol and act like a regular kpop crazy fan, and Ik kaachi is not exactly like this, but it is still unprofessional. Anyways I think it's really cool to be able to stay afloat after recieving insane amounts of hate, and it's very messed up hating on idols just because they are foreigner.
