I personally don't get why some people are against it, I mean dating is a normal part of life, and they'll probably be happier with a partner so I'm all for it
there is legit nothing wrong with idols dating and i support it 100% <3 although i think rookies shouldnt date so they can focus on starting their career, but after the rookie stage i think its completely acceptable !
Idols give up so many ordinary, normal things in life like being able to go out to eat, go to the movie theater, go shopping, etc, because there's so many crazy fans that'll all but kidnap them if they're seen out in public. Why should they be expected to give up yet another thing and basically isolate themselves further. Maybe if it was more accepted for them to date, they wouldn't feel as lonely
but i mean i can understand why some fans would feel a bit sad or like angry (not really crazy ones tho, like i mean a LITTLE BIT moody)
i think some fans think idols will forget their career or like fans because of dating, when in reality, you dont even notice that the idols are dating after the shock of the news, and everything seems perfectly normal
As long as it doesnt interfere with the idols personal health and safety, because angry fans can go crazy sometimes and like try and harm idols
I personally don't mind idols dating. As long as their respectful and mindful of their s/o I'm fine with it. Also, So many other fans are crazy about it..It's their life so they should be able to do what they want.
they get so much of their lives taken from them, their childhoods, privacy, not to mention their safety because of crazy 'fans'. idols should be allowed to date and love people if they so wish because fans have no say over that - yelling 'love me' isn't gonna make them fall in love you. they love their fans but that doesn't mean their whole lives should be solely for the fans but it is their lives not ours that we get to dictate everything that they do.
If they don't talk about their relationships does not mean that they do not have it. it's kinda like personal thing, in my opinion. A lot of elder people nowadays also like to meet each other via online services like this ( https://www.datemyage.com/dating-an-older-man/ ). It's pretty easy to use for them, and they can see each other without making unnecessary meetings.
there's nothing wrong with idols dating but i wouldn't want a rookie idol to start dating right after they debut because you should at least have your career going several years beforehand and it should be stable enough to where a dating scandal wouldn't ruin the idols' career.
I think idol dating is important. Without dating it adds to the image that these idols are robotic or machines that exist purely to impress the fans. They need identity and their own private lives and having their own partners is a great way to have that. It needs to be normalised because without it's only going to keep adding to the toxic pressures idols otherwise face
