This has been their best album (Well, I guess, you know... Only... But their best collection of songs.) by far. While I love Blackpink, and all their tracks, I feel as if all their previous titles have been a bit bland, like cookie-cutter tracks. (I still love them!) To me, Lovesick Girls just had that spark and flavor, and was unique, as well as the rest of the songs on the album. The album just has so much power with each individual song, and I find myself listening to each of them on repeat.
It seems like YG really did take a lot of time with each of these tracks, and I am thoroughly impressed. The only ones I find myself not as much enjoying are Ice Cream and How You Like That- For me, they also are a bit bland, but I still enjoy them.
Also, I have to say, in Bet You Wanna, I was very surprised when Rosé and Jennie actually harmonized, which, for me, was another great addition!
I suppose the lyrics are also what gave me chills. I mean, You Never Know? Wow. Powerhouse, and struck an emotional chord within me.
Lastly, the difference between genres really impressed me, as all the songs managed to flow together (Save for, again, HYLT and Ice Cream). Overall, I believe that Blackpink really improved.
Please tell me your thoughts!
